Well situated. Immaculate apartments with everything you need. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Great location close to walking / cycling path that goes into town centre - take your bicycles. Has Spa pool & trampoline. Would recommend. Best of all: Dog friendly!

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes the walk/cycle track is a pleasant way to get to town. If you don't have a bike you can easily walk into town - takes about 30 - 40 mins (depends on how fast you walk ;) ) I do it regularly for my exercise.

Stayed here on the way from Auckland - Napier for the Rugby World Cup last year. Very large room with plenty of space and storage. Kitchen facilities were great. Very comfortable stay, absolutely no problems. Most of the motels are located on the main road coming off the highway but there were no problems with traffic noise, etc. Nice walk...

Thank you for your review. The Rugby World Cup is now a long distant memory but we hope you took home lots of memories of NZ and the Rugby.

We stayed at here recently with 2 teenages for 4 nights and found the accomodation to be clean and comfortable. The rates were very reasonable. Thanks to Gladys and Kelvin for recommending some of the better tourist attractions, restaurants and shops etc in the Whakatane and Ohope area. Their knowledge of the local area is excellent and they were more...

Very friendly place to stay, clean and good location. Comfortable and cooking facilities were most suitable. Stayed for two nights. If visiting Whakatane again we will definately stay here. Very nice to escape the big city, traffic lights and liked the country atmosphere, although the road was very busy we did not notice the traffic noise at all. Good walkway...

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes Whakatane has a lovely feel about it and the walk along the riverbank is so relaxing and I do it myself several times a week when I get a chance. We look forward to having you stay again.

Only stayed one night but very clean and tidy unit. Room was warm and bed comfortable which made for a great nights sleep. Will be staying here again in the future I'm sure. Our visit was for a cycle ride from Rotorua and when we arrived back in Whakatane at lunch time totally soaked to the skin Kelvin and Gladys...

Thanks for your review. You were braver than us to consider such a bike ride in such terrible weather. We could not let the poor wet creatures at the door go home like that. Letting you have a nice hot shower was only natural. Thank you for the wine.

I stayed at this motel for a week on a school trip with 15 boys. The units were very tidy. The rooms were very tidy with comfortable beds and big T.Vs. The staff were very friendly and made you feel right at home. If visiting Whakatane I would definitely stay at the Tourist Court Motel again.

Thank you for your review. It was an interesting week with so many teenage boys. Having the incentive for them to keep their rooms tidy and do their dishes had a good response from some. The boy that had kept his sleeping area tidy was so excited to receive his reward. What a shame they didn't win the final.

My husband and I looked up a hotel that would accept dogs, and this place came up which was wonderful. We were travelling through to Gisborne and decided to make our stop shorter and thoroughly enjoyed this motel. The owners were lovely (she liked Coronation street, so that was a start, tee hee). We have two small minature dogs with...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Yes Coronation Street is one of the tv shows we look forward to but guests checking in always take priority. Your two dogs respected our property as well as you did so they would be welcome again.

Just two negatives. Only one bedside table; no shampoo supplied - instead there is a liquid soap dispenser in the shower. On the positive side, the hair dryer is right beside the mirror and the proprietor came and closed the curtains, turned on the light and made sure the unit was warm for our return in the evening. We only...

Thank you for your review. We are still trying to source some narrower bedside cabinets to match the style we have, so that we can have one on each side. We chose to use a liquid hair and body wash in the showers as felt it was a wasteful to have soap wrappers, partly used soap bars and shampoo sachets...

Not only the unit was comfortable but also the whole feeling of meeting the owners who made us very welcome with our german shepherd. The decor was clean and modern. The breakfast was so cheap we don't know how they can afford to make it for the cost. We will most certainly stay again when in Whakatane

Thank you for your review. Bix is welcome back anytime (so are his owners) as he was such a well behaved dog and you all left the unit lovely and clean. When we have dogs in, we always wash the carpet afterwards to get rid of any doggy smell before any new guests arrive. Lovely to have had you stay...
