Lovely location. Very tranquil and peaceful. We arrived at the right time as people were leaving post Christmas holidays. Rooms are big and luxurious. Only one bar but doesn't seem to get busy. Loads to do from playing pool or tennis to swimming or sailing. Food is good. Service is good although the it's not quite to the standard of...

We stayed for 5 nights in a beachfront villa: the room was very well appointed with private pool and copious space and well-designed furnishings in the bed-, bath- and living rooms. A little denser foliage around the private pool would help privacy. The dining facilities are outstanding with a very good mix of continental and local cuisine; the half board...

Our family of 3 (2 adults and a baby) chose the Residence Zanzibar for 10 nights from November 15th to November 26th; staying in a Prestige Ocean View villa on HB basis. We have stayed previously in sister properties Residence Mauritius (2013) and Residence Maldives (2015). About 80 mins from the international airport we reached the Residence after seeing the...

Dear MrsSAL Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I was delighted to have read that you had a great time with us, despite the literally bumpy ride to the hotel. Onwaba and team do excel at creating moments enriched and what better way than to have a private anniversary dinner on our rock overlooking the ocean...

This hotel has great staff, very friendly! The food is great and the bungalows very nice and spacious. The private pool is just perfect. The beachfront villa's on the right side of the pool, starting with 1, have a wonderful tropical beach view, but not great swimming in the sea. The villas on the left, starting with 2, have a...

We had been two years before to The Residence Mauritius and we had great expectations. I can say that we were not disappointed at all. We had a garden vila and we love it. We had our privacy and the silence we expected. The private pool is something you are wishing to have at home and the vila is well...

We spent 4 nights over Christmas and this was the perfect peaceful break. The hotel is stunning, minimalist but comfortable. Huge airy rooms/suites with enormous bathrooms, indoor and out. All villas have pools and no little dipping pools here!! The food was excellent but I particularly recommend if you have the choice pick the set menus or a la carte. The Christmas...
