It enjoys a strategic position just outside the historic center just 10 minutes walk from the center (the return is uphill) but it is done quietly.
Basic rooms clean and functional.
Beautiful view if facing the sea. The interior goes towards the hill
The staff and 'very kind and make you feel at home, shuttle service to and from the beach with agreed times "Excellent"
I must say that we spent a very good night and will definitely return.
Thank you for your kindness and helpfulness.
See you soon.

The hotel is very nice on top of an apoena hill outside Sperlonga, if you always move by car ok but for those who have problems with their legs is not really ideal. There is a nice climb to do, but it is close to the old town, not so close to the beach but still feasible. The sea view rooms are nice the others I don't know. The management is very familiar and the owners are the real strength of this hotel, really very nice and friendly. Recommended

Stayed here for two weeks beginning of June. Front/sea view room on second floor with what is actually a spectacular panoramic view over the surrounding hills/countryside and Sperlonga village. This small hotel is family owned and operated. Everyone from the kids to mum, dad and granddad help out. All really friendly and helpful and friendly. Overall only very broken English spoken but easy to get by and not a problem due to their friendliness. It was also fun trying out one word Italiano with them.

Bedrooms are basic, no frills but perfectly adequate. Terracotta tile floors, emulsion painted walls, pine furniture, plastic garden furniture on balconies/terraces. Front/sea view rooms more spacious than garden view rooms. Beds very firm and comfortable, bedding changed every few days. Small fridge in room useful for keeping drinks/fruit cool. Air con available though we didn't need it as being up a hill the place does get some nice sea breeze.

Bathrooms are internal and on smallish side but again perfectly adequate. Fully tiled in white tiles, corner shower cubicle. Showers have reasonable pressure/ flow and the water tended to be warmer in the evenings than the mornings (perhaps mainly solar heated). Plenty towels of continental 'waffle' type, changed daily. Hotel toiletries provided.

Breakfast is very Italian style (therefore appears limited in comparison with a northern European breakfast) and consisted of buffet table with various sweet cakes/croissants, bread, jam/honey portions, yoghurts, fresh tomato, one type of cold meat, one type of processed cheese, cold hard boiled eggs. Freshly made coffee (one cup included but in Italy it is normal to pay for further cups if you want more) We always had two cappuccinos each in the morning and were kindly only charged about 60cents each for the second cup which was very good value and kind). You can take breakfast inside in the dining room or out on the terrace beneath the lemon trees and enjoy the wonderful views.

The hotel is situated up a very steep hill, you need to put the car into first gear to get up the drive (maybe not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties) however the 200/250 metre climb is more than worth it for the spectacular views and peacefulness. There is ample free parking within the grounds which is a real bonus as parking in Sperlonga is very limited and if you can find a space, costs 1E per hour. You can park your car at the hotel and walk everywhere in Sperlonga or to the beaches within 15/20 minutes and it is a pleasant walk (street lamps all the way at night too).

From Sperlonga/Fondi station (about a 10 min drive away) there is one train per hour to Rome and Naples both cities being just over an hour away by train. This is the perfect base to enjoy a beautiful coastline/picturesque village/lovely beaches and yet be able to visit the big cities relatively easily. Would recommend having a car to get about the local area though as public transport is very limited. Sperlonga is a perfect base for exploring the wider area.

Will definitely return to the Belvedere and recommend it.

Where do I start? Room air conditioning leaking, no hot water, really bad breakfast I mean stale cornflakes no toaster stale cake. A huge hill to get back from beach. Owners prefer to give rooms with the average view available to there friends. Cleanliness of rooms leaves a lot to be desired don’t bother to try and put your bags on the floor there is no room. Shower is so small you can not turn around don’t drop the soap u will have to get out to pick it up. Best advise don’t stay their😭

The Hotel is nice, quiet and new. The customer service is friendly and helpful.
The room was good and big enough, with 2 big windows with 2 little terrace on the sea view.
The breakfast was ok.
We didn't realize that the seaside was far, they give the shuttle bus service but we used our own car and to reach the beach is less than 5 min.
They have discount with one beach resort, so we went there and there is park as well (pay extra).
It's 10 min by walk from centre town, even there is a very high hill.
Only 1 thing is the price, I think a little bit too expensive.

Poor quality room at a high price. No service.

I travel constantly and this is the worst value for money room I have stayed in for a very long time.

Sperlonga is fast becoming over expensive. We recently stayed in Cannes for less money in a beach front 45sqm room overlooking the marina. Here we stayed in a camping standard room. Really disappointing.

Disappointing visit. Rooms not well soundproofed as we could hear the incoming message prompts on the phone in the adjoining room as well as the guest snoring. Lighting was poor making it hard to read in bed. Breakfast is not served until 8:30 requiring an alternative plan if you want an early start. While the room and property were mediocre and fine - the quality of the property should have been higher for the rate paid

A very nice stay at the Belvedere. It’s the 3rd time we go there and it’s nice to be recognised as returning friends. Our room overlooked the beach and the port. We had our breakfast in the garden, under the pergola. And enjoyed playing late card games there at night too.
Ideally situated above Sperlonga, not only do you benefit from a lovely view, in a peaceful surrounding away from the crowd but you can also leave your car there and walk down to the village (5 min) and from the piazzetta to the beach (5 min).
The smile of the owner and her gentle attitude completed this happy atmosphere.

"Rooms on first and second floors with sea view have the best views (especially second floor) and are more spacious than the rear facing garden view rooms (which really are cut into the side of the hill at the back so have little view at all). All have either a terrace or balcony."
