We have stayed at the Hotel Aurora several times, and we have always really loved it. The hotel is beautiful, and it has its own lovely private sandy beach with a fabulous view of the hilltop town. The staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are always spotless, and the garden, bar and terrace offer perfect places to relax. An excellent buffet breakfast is provided in the elegant Marina Room. Each time we visit, the hotel seems to have added something new, and this time we were delighted to find an extended lunch menu which we took full advantage of every day. We will be returning there just as soon as we can.
We have visited this hotel 5 times and always want to come back ,lovely service by all of the staff ,We had a sea view room this time and the view is breathtaking. We liked it so much we booked again for next year .
Absolutely fantastic hotel....5* in Every Way. Fabulous Service & Staff....Along with well appointed room and facilities. Situated right on beach & in ideal location for restaurants and nearby "Old Town". Will definitely visit again.
Everything perfect, from the food, to the beach, from the courtesy of all the staff (breakfast and dining room, reception, beach, etc.) to the cleaning in the rooms. And the location, in one word, is great!
Our second stay and the same great experience. Italian hospitality at it's very best. The hotel is right on the beach, has a lovely garden area and is in the centre of Sperlonga next to the Old Town. The hotel is a beautiful design with a lovely terrace where you can have breakfast, lunch or drinks during the day or evening. The buffet breakfast is amazing,a fabulous selection of food! Sunbeds on a private beach is included too. The beach is clean, the water is shallow and gently slopes out to sea. There is a lifeguard on duty. The service and attention from all the staff is friendly, helpful and they are all so kind and such lovely people. We would recommend this jewel of a hotel to any couple , single person or family wholeheartedly! Truly wonderful! Thank you. Dave and Lynn Ripley…
Our experience at Hotel Aurora was fantastic. We stayed in the Peonia style room and the room was actually nicer than we thought. It had a very large balcony and the bathroom had a great experience shower. The property itself is wonderful. It's not a resort but rather a small hotel and it's located right on top of the beach and has its own private garden. It's a perfect relaxing getaway to spend time on the beach and has a great location in Sperlonga. Hotel Aurora is about as close as possible to the ancient town up on the hillside and is also located next to numerous restaurants along the beach. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We would highly recommend and hope to come back in the future. One thing to mention: at least during the peak summer months, they do have a 5 or 6 night minimum stay, so we had to stay for 5 nights. Clearly this place is popular, but it would be nice to come for a few nights and just relax, as we spent two days traveling and sightseeing anyway.…
Hotel Aurora is an absolutey fantastic place. 1. Beside the sea, with a private stretch of beach complete with dedicated parasols and sun loungers? Check! 2. Stunning rooms? Check! 3. Friendly, relaxed and welcoming staff? Triple check! 4. Nestled beneath an authentic hillside village with ample options for aperitivos and dining? Of course! We first visited 22 years ago and never forgot our stay, eventually we managed a return trip in 2022, and hopefully we will get the opportunity to return many more times. If you're considering a trip to Sperlonga, you absolutely need to stay in the Aurora, it's simply stunning
The very best location with a shallow sandy beach in front, especially good for children. Even in the middle of May the water was really warm! Big and safe parking area at no cost. A short (but steep) and beautiful walk up to the old town. At the entrance there is a small, beautiful garden with tables where they serve drinks and lunch. Breakfast is a big and good buffet served inside with beautiful sea view, and with some tables outside on the small balcony. Staff in restaurant and reception very nice and helpful. We had room 216 style "Rose di Mare" with a big private terrace and great view mainly to the old town and partly to the sea. There are 4 such rooms, the neighbour room (217?) is probably the very best, with more sea view. Comfortable room with an extra bed which sadly could not be used as a sofa, too "deep". The only bad thing in the room was the bed, the mattress was much too hard - as it is at most hotels in Italy. But we had a great stay and recommend this hotel to anybody :-) Several restaurants close to the hotel, the best was Pizzeria Mari! It looks so simple, but food (pizza, lasagna, fish) and staff are great! Bad restaurants: Neighbour Tropical (bad pizza with too much cheese, and prices higher on the bill than on the menu) and Donna Assunta at the Piazza della Liberta in the old town (very bad cold lasagna).…
We booked just 2 days in a Junior Suite as part of a 5 week European trip. It was in the the right place and we were taken with the reports that that it was undiscovered jewel on the Mediterranean coast. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The suite was great and when we heard that there was an allocated parking spot just feet away from the front door our hearts lifted. The attention to detail was second to none from the carefully coordinated colours and the wonderful balcony with sun beds. A beautiful fresh fruit basket to greet us. The beach was great with Suite occupiers getting beds and towels at no extra cost. The breakfast was typical continental fare, but over-looking the fabulous beach. The town was a true delight and the hike up the alleyways was very worthwhile. There is fabulous mix of pizzerias and fine fish restaurants in the town, but can recommend Il Porticciolo by the harbour - perhaps un-prepossessing but serving excellent VERY fresh fresh fish…
What a wonderful hotel for a nice relaxing holiday. The hotel was excellent in so many ways and the staff could not have been nicer. We had a balcony room with lots of space and a great view. The room rate included breakfast which was served from a room overlooking the sea, which was a great way to start each day. Breakfast included a great selection of breads, fruits, cheese, meat, etc. The hotel serves beautiful food during the day but is also well situated close to lots of cafes and restaurants. It is only a short distance (with a good climb) to the piazza in the old town which is well worth a visit. A great well-cared-for hotel that is definitely on our list for a nice relaxing holiday when needed in the future.
