First Rate property and course
This is truly one of the most beautiful courses with exceptional service. We had a top rate experience here from the pro shop to the waiters and the other staff. The grill near the pro shop had wonderful food (try the tuna sandwich! More like a tuna steak lightly grilled and then cubed, not like tuna from a can). The course is not walkable--take the cart that comes with the price of green fee--as the holes are far apart. The villas are really spacious and nice and each comes with a patio and outdoor sitting area that is gorgeous in the morning. We wish we had chosen to stay longer, but tagged this on to the end of a tour of the Algarve. Should have spent two nights here and skipped Albufeira which was SO "Las Vegas-like" and tacky. This is truly a place to get some R&R and play at a top notch golf course. After staying here we drove back up to Lisbon (3 hrs), stopping in Evora, which was also a great stop and a fairly straight shot north. Our friends drove on to Sevilla which is around 90 minutes East.…

If you haven’t had the chance to experience a day at this fantastic golf course can I recommend you do so before it becomes out of your price bracket Whilst the golf course is probably the best course in Europe that I have played it is also complimented by wonderful staff prior to during and after golf An experience you will never forget book now!!!

Nothing Compares to MR
Having luxuriated in playing golf @ MR twice before in previous years, and dreaming of the experience ever since. I decided to take a weeks Villa break with my wife and incorporate another x2 rounds. I have played golf 45 years and am an addict having played all over the world..... Never have I been treated and experienced hospitality like that served by this course. Pro shop, Caddymaster, Starter, Buggy Bar, 19th hole -every staff member could not have been more welcoming. The course is rated best in Portugal and in the Top echelons of European rankings. Without doubt it’s the Best Course I’ve ever played....every hole is a self contained feature hole in Superb condition....certainly a delightful challenge. A second 18 hole Jack Nicklaus course is imminent and will be a couple of years away, along with a tranche of new Villas and ultimately a new Hotel on-site. Sign me in! These are exciting times for the Club. It is a little off the beaten track with a dubious infrastructure around and about, but well worth finding at the Spain end of the Algarve. All you “Villamourites” need to treat yourselves......and I guarantee it’ll be the best thing you did! This excellence was mirrored by our Villa experience. A 1.3 million pound villa was ours for the week equipped with everything a self catering holiday needed. Mind you onsite meals at the Veranda, Grill and especially the Vistas where we had a dining experience provided by Rui Silvestre (mitchelin starred chef) which truly was out of this world ...and pure food theatre. It cannot be missed even if you choke at the cost! This holiday was up there with anything we have ever experienced.....x5 stars does not do it justice. HE WHO HESITATES....…

How private are the 1 Bedroom Villas? Are they simply part of a larger villa or seperate?
All villas are 3 BR min and if you book one room they just give yiu the whole villa and close the extra BR. That means yiu have the whole villa to yourself as we did. Loved it.

please can you tell me if there are irons in the villas and is the wifi only in the main reason reception areas many thanks Dean
Hi Dean There are irons and ironing boards in the villas utility rooms. Not sure about the WiFi, I had mobile data and roaming on, used my celular data. It’s worth while checking with your mobile provider, I’m with 3 mobile and have no roaming charges. Wishing you a great holiday Best regards Ana

I can not find a contact email address on your website. We are coming with a wedding party on 9th June. How do I book a junior individual lesson or a 9 hole playing lesson for a junior on 10th June and how much is the cost? Thanks.
Call there and speak to the pro shop. They all speak English and are helpful!

Hello, we are thinking of booking a two bed in May half term we are two adults and two teenagers. Is there golf and tennis lessons available for adults and teenagers ? Is it better to book the golf before arriving ? Are there spaces for the teenagers to hang out ?? ( age 13 and 14 boys ) table tennis ? How much is the airport shuttle ? Can you hire a car for a few days from resort ? Is there a shop for essential groceries on site ? What time does breakfast run from ? Thanks
All the questions seem to be answered. I've been there 4 times. There is no hotel, accommodation is in villas. The villas are very well appointed. As already pointed out the best is to hire a car at the airport. Then you have the chance to eat elsewhere or shop for food in Tavira and eat at the villa. I don't know if tennis lessons can be booked, but there are tennis courts and a spa with an outdoor pool, fitness room and sauna. You can get breakfast in the clubhouse. If you haven't got a hire car, the staff collect you from the villa. I think breakfast begins around 7, I don't know when it finishes. As breakfast is served you need to plan an hour. The golf facilities and course are fantastic.
