We stayed in Briarhill as 2 families with 5 little kids between us. The cottage was so well equipped and especially for children. Plenty of high chairs, good quality travel cots, kids plates & cutlery and games & books. It was very spacious, very clean and had lovely bedding and towels :) Caroline was an excellent host. The grounds and...

We are very frequent visitors to the area but needed somewhere that accommodated our chocolate Labrador ! We stayed in buttermilk cottage which was excellent clean spacious and very well equipped . The cottage is in an excellent location for north Tyneside and further afield in Northumberland we loved it so much we booked a return visit whilst there !

My sister and I and partners travelled up to Seghill to visit my ailing father and give my mother some support. We planned to start at a Premier Inn, but because we were staying mid-week it was quite expensive. We've looked at these cottages before, but for school holiday dates and they were beyond our budget. Off-season the prices were...

Became our home for a two week stay for my husband and I plus our small dog. Very welcoming. Cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the newly born calves, chickens and horses, plus being able to take our dog on enjoyable walks. Brilliant views over the fields and easy access to our family who live nearby in...

This was an amazing venue for my sister and her family coming over from the States to help me celebrate a special birthday. We both found it independently on the internet and decided it was ideal for our purposes. It was situated 10 minutes from my home but in a rural setting. We made Briarhill our home for the week...

Lovely cottages in a nice and calm area. Only 10min drive from town and big shops and beach. It's a very relaxing place to come to. The cottages are fully equipped. Having a great time with my wife and son and we are lucky the weather is excellent for now.

I am absolutely made up that the cottages were so beautiful. We have just arrived home from a 4 night stay in Briarhill house, one of the larger cottages sleeping 8 plus two babies... cots and cot bedding provided. We honestly could not have asked for more for our holiday! We met our friends and their family there, who have...

We have stayed twice over the past two years and have just booked our third trip. We fly over once a year from Florida to visit with family and friends. We really enjoy the location, the quiet, the friendliness, the cleanliness. Highly recommended!

Nine of my family have just returned from a lovely week in the North East staying at Burredon Farm Cottages. We had three cottages so more space than we needed. All cottages were excellent, they are by far the best accommodation in the area I have been to and I have been to a few. We lacked nothing. Normally en...

“The position of Rose Cottage and Honeysuckle cottage are excellent. The Forge doesn't get the sun. Choose a cottage or house facing the road through the farm together sun front and back.”

“They have a very good website and at least one cottage for disabled access. But being in the middle of a farm, all rooms are very good, certainly no traffic noise.”
