This is the second time we have stayed here on an annual walking trip. This time was for 3 nights, and this hostel was one of the reasons we came back to the Gelncoe (the other was the abundance of Munros!) Having stayed in a number of hostels (both SYHA and independant), this one is easily one of the best....

We stayed here for 2 nights as the price was quite good and all we needed was for somewhere to sleep. We got a taxi from the village to the hostel as its a bit of a walk from the main road. The hostel is in the middle of nowhere and very basic so don't expect something spectacular. The rooms...

Everything ok excepting the fact that the hostel is closing every day from 12 to 3 pm for cleaning. Clean tidy, pet friendly. The area is wild, landscapes fantastic, not pretty much to do around excepting hiking, for more activities,Fort William

I arrived at Syha about 12.45, the walk along the road was quite a task as I had a trolly case and a rucksack. On arriving I rang the bell no answer, then 2 females who had been in front of me walking to hostel came out the door and their response was you will not get in until 3 pm...

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to post and let us know about your stay, please be assured this is not the normal service level at Glencoe and the team were disappointed to read this. The hostel is run on limited staffing but we do always keep the porch open so guests can shelter from the winds and unfortunately...

Had a nice stay in a 3 person private room, no view out of the windows - frosted glass and high up, at little cold at times when air conditioning system on during the day ok at night, but had sockets and a sink. Good kitchen and dining area, very sociable and cozy lounge. Very clean at all times due...

Wonderful hostel. The SYHA hostels are always very well run. Clean, spacious, with everything you would expect from a hostel. Always a fantastic place to visit, and meet fellow hikers. I have stayed here a few times now and are never disappointed. Double thumbs up from me.

We had a family room booked online and turned up in the early evening after a long day on the hill. Friendly staff welcomed us and talked us through the details. Our family room was warm, very tidy and clean with comfy beds, towels and linen provided. Good job. The majority of other fellow hostelers were friendly and happy to...

Hostel is about 3kilometers from the main road but it didn't feel that long to walk as the road is surrounded by beautiful nature. There are plenty of nice daywalks around the hostel. Thank goodness this hostel restored some of my faith in the Scottish Youth Hostels. The place is well set up with clean rooms and the mattresses go with covers on them albeit being a bit narrow. Helpful staff and the beer still over priced f a bottle which is a shame. Go there and you will be fine. Nothing major...

Glencoe Youth Hostel is ideally located away from the main A82 in the quiet countryside of Glencoe, surrounded by fields and trees with stunning view of the hills. The youth hostel is popular with walkers, climbers and families as it offers budget multi-share accommodation but also private family friendly rooms too. Glencoe Youth Hostel has a large open plan kitchen/ dining room with ample cooking facilities and dining tables. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy.
