I stayed here with my 2 sons on a recent West Highland Way walk. We were very tired upon arrival after a 30 k day from Tyndrum so the hotel was a very welcome sight. The room (triple with no facilities) was basic but clean and pleasant. Long time since I have stayed in a room with no bath -... More

Stayed one night while walking WHW Room. Room was basic but comfortable with toilet across the hall and shower room further away Staff were very friendly and it was good "pub grub" Good place to stop off at( the only one for a few miles!) but the view was stunning

Arrived here early afternoon again - very busy because of limited accommodation in the area. However, it was bigger than expected and there looks to be further building taking place. Pleasant welcome and given directions to our room. Shared facilities, but they were between our rooms with a door to separate it from the outside corridor. Single rooms were pleasant... More

This hotel isn't as great as it (probably) once was. However we thought it was charming with it's old interior, tamed deers and the stunning view. The rooms were clean (except the bathroom...) and there is a big breakfast menu. This hotel could be haunted ;-)

Stayed here due to to doing WHW. It's the only place to stay if you've not brought your own tent. Basically it's tired and old....on the night we stayed it was really windy and all night we heard the roof slates rattling and the old guttering squeaking in the wind (mainly due to half of it missing) The room we... Stayed for a night whilst walking the West Highland Way. Reception booked us in efficiently. Room was much larger than average and had fantastic views across the glen. The room was dated, especially the ensuite bathroom, but it was clean and everything worked. The hotel had two bars and a large, pleasant lounge. The free WiFi did not reach the... More

Spent 1 night on the way further north . Booked last minute so only single rooms available , this worked out well as rooms next to each other with a bathroom in between . Absolutely stunning views down the glen from the bedroom . Both rooms very clean and comfortable . Nice dining area but quite busy in the evening... More

The staff compensate for the faded but characterful remains of the Kings House. I believe that it's to close at the end of this season and will re-emerge next year, three quarters rebuilt. Practically, it's got to be an improvement, I hope the cheerful staff and the friendly atmosphere thrive in the reincarnation of the Kingy.

I did West Highland Way and I now know that there are no options but this one for a place to stay when you r crossing from Inverarnan or Bridge of Orchy onward. Basically you have to stay here and they know it and so they don't have to try very hard. The place is old and it feels old... More

Called in here for a breakfast while doing the West Highland Way. Food was great, and very reasonably priced and the staff were very welcoming considering we weren't residents. Hotel looked lovely and would certainly consider staying there next time I am in the area.
