Amazing place. So family friendly, charming, great owners, cozy, etc. It's definitely a place we would return to and I've already recommended it to others over and over. The only tiny suggestion I would have is that they create a drying rack for wet stuff. We knew what we were getting into when we went up there in February with...

My husband and I have been looking for this kind of place near Algonquin. We have stayed at Wolf Den in the past, but these new eco lodges are just the right mix of luxury and rustic. They are clean, very well-stocked, and just gorgeous. I stayed two nights with my husband in a smaller cabin and then two nights...

We stayed at the Wolf Den for two nights in January, so we experienced it in winter season. The moment I walked into this place I knew I'll love it. We were greeted by the owners who definitely do a great job at managing this hostel. They are extremely welcoming and want you to have the best stay possible. We...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Wolf Den Sept 21st - Sept 23rd. This is a great place to stay, it is located just outside the park and has all you need to enjoy the great outdoors with the comfort of home. Upon arrival we were personally greeted and made to feel very welcomed. We stayed in a bunkhouse...

We just returned from our first visit to the Wolf Den. We stayed in "Nana and Jack's " cabin which is made of huge squared timbered logs. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Clean, charming interior of the cabin, excellent deck for relaxing and refreshing. A stroll down to the river for a paddle. Excellent! Jen and Jacques were exceptionally helpful...

This is a great hostel for exploring Algonquin (you'll almost certainly need a car) with excellent facilities. My girlfriend and I stayed in a private room in the main building - it was small and could do with better pillows, but the highlight and emphasis of this hostel is the amazing communal areas. The kitchen is easily the best I've...

Location is perfect - just outside the park. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed meeting other travellers and excellent kitchen facilities make meals easy. My only complaint was the annoying loud Christian rock music playing on the stereo when we got there and through our stay, but not sure if that was from the owners or guests. Would...

Hi IslToronto! Thanks for your excellent feedback. I'm thrilled you liked the Den. And yes, about that music.... by the sounds of it you came during the week that our Internet system was down due to storm damage, and we were using someone's playlist. Typically we stream folk, celtic, jazz and world music through Internet radio. I'm sure you'll get...

My three kids, our dog Bella and I had a fantastic time here at the Wolf Den. The kids enjoyed the pathway down to the river. We created some fantastic memories, enjoyed some new adventures and laughed the whole time. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us. 😃

I have been coming to the Wolf Den Hostel and Nature Retreat since Jen and Jacques have owned it. It is nothing less than incredible - an amazing experience in the middle of the Algonquin Highlands - with a wonderful chance of meeting people from every part of our world! You will be grateful for the beauty of nature outside...

First time visit to the Wolf Den and loved it. Stayed in larger eco-cabins and really enjoyed the cabin and location. Owners were very welcoming and kind, very helpful and respectful. Really enjoyed the visit.

“I believe all rooms are great. If you truly enjoy nature, choose the bunkhouse.”

“If you have a dog or two - as I do - there are several cabins that are available for you! They are very clean - well maintained - and DO NOT smell like an animal hotel. As a courtesy, I always bring dog blankets to cover the beds so that the dogs can sleep but NOT contribute to animal odors in the cabins when I am gone~ ”
