Clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Handy to many things. Waitomo caves for one is only about 15 Kms away. Off street parking. Nice riverside rooms if you get in early and book. Local RSA restaurant serves good basic food.

The Waitomo lodge is located in Te Kuiti, about 20km from the famous Waitomo glowworm caves. The lodge is lcoated on state highway 3 and therefore next to a very busy road. If you are just looking for an overnight stay on your way through it will do the job, but there is nothing special about this motel style accommodation....

We had an enjoyable stay at waitimo lodge. Rod and Leanne were very welcoming and interesting to talk to. Location is incredible on top of the hills and 10km up a New Zealand 'dirt' road. For one night it was too far out from waitimo caves but a great place to stay for the scenery and garden itself. Our 'cottage'...

Hubby and I came through for a family wedding and stayed a couple of nights at Waitimo Lodge. As far as short stay rooms go, I could not fault this at all and wish we had longer there. The room was massive: big comfy bed, loads of moving about space (which was greatly appreciated especially when trying to "doll" up...

We had a lovely 1 night sleep in this motel. The check in was friendly and easy. When we entered the room we found a spacious 2 bedroom Appartement with a large bathroom. The place was very clean and tidy, the beds comfortable. We had a good night sleep and would stay here again.

The lodge looks like any normal motel from the outside but we were impressed once we got inside. Very spacious, clean and provides a lot of amenities that most comparable 4/5 star hotels will have too. Space was amazing and modern. We arrived to check in late at night and the lady was still around and very friendly during check...

From the outside, this looks like a typical roadside motel but once we entered our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The beds are extremely comfortable and very clean. We had all the equipment needed to make our breakfast and the bistro across the road provided wonderful coffee. The traffic at night is quite noisy but unavoidavle due to the motel's...

The Waitomo Lodge Motel is ideally situated at the northern end of Te Kuiti and only about a 15 minute drive from the magnificent Waitomo Glow-worm Caves. On our recent stay we had a spotlessly clean unit with an extremely comfortable bed and kitchen equipped with fridge, micro-wave oven and twin hotplate cook-top. There was also a good sized bathroom...

We were running very late on our trip to Waitomo, but the owners were very helpful and made our late arrival nice and easy (they even left our room light on for us!). The accommodation was nice and large with a bedroom, sitting area and our 2nd bed, and a large bathroom. I loved that they had office pets too...

You can really tell the owners of the Waitomo Lodge pride themselves on having a clean and tidy facility. Rooms were extremely comfortable and well organised. Beds and bed linen were best we've found in New Zealand (yes, even better than the larger Auckland 5* hotels). As we had our three children along, the absolute best feature was the layout...
