A very nice and comfortable place to stay. We arrived late and were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised on the quality our unit. A great nights sleep with morning sunlight upon opening our curtains with a private deck looking onto marshland. There was a nearby train track, but the quality of accommodation greatly outweighed the occasional train that went by....

Very easily accessible just off main highway, not more than 10 minutes’ drive from the caves. Driveway entrance on left is slightly hidden/narrow. Very clean. Had room near train tracks and had no problem with noise. Thought it was good value.

this room would have been perfect😥 but no air conditioning. It was pretty hot during the day and when the sun went down we opened the doors. Got a lot of mosquito bites and didn't sleep well. The room was clean and smelled clean. Internet worked well although is limited. Bed was comfortable and nice. Would stay again in cooler...

The Waitomo Lodge is somewhat unprepossessing from the kerbside but don't let that put you off, this is a super little motel with beds that beat some 5* hotels for comfort - a very well appointed room with a clean kitchenette & good-sized walk-in shower and nice toiletries. Having driven down from Auckland via the glow-worm caves, this was the...

We only spent one night but two or more would have been better. The owners are charming hosts and there home has the most stunning views and is furnished to a very high standard. A little off the beaten track but well worth it.

I have stayed here twice while in Te Kuiti for work and really enjoyed it. The rooms are large, and very clean with immaculate bathrooms. Both times I stayed for at least 4 days, and the rooms were cleaned every morning with fresh towels and new toiletries to use every day. The supermarket is merely a 2 minute walk away,...

Took a little time to find the motel as I missed the sign. It has a large stone fence and this sort of threw me off a little. Lady was a little flustered as her son was arriving soon and ' this is my Christmas Day'! Felt bad about interrupting and signing in. She was excited and as a mum...

We arrived around 11 pm and the office was closed. But the owner has already left the check-in details at the office door and we just followed the instructions. Room is spacious, clean and cozy. Nice cafe across the street, should try breakfast in this outlet before heading to the Caves. A convenience store/gas station is within walking distance.

This motel is a short drive from the Waitomo caves and is a great place to stop if you are passing through the area. The rooms have small kitchens that are not great for cooking, but fine for sorting out takeout or preparing something small. Rooms have a small coffee press with real coffee and milk, which was a nice...

If you ever need a place to stay when passing through King Country, this is it. A good hotel should make you feel at home, and this is likely only when the staff are friendly, welcoming, approachable, tolerant and willing to go an extra step to make you comfortable. That was my experience with the Lodge host and her crew;...
