Our hotel, that we prefer to call Home, has always kept what we all love. When our guests arrive they are just customers, but when they leave they are friends, that's why today we feel confident and we want to offer our guests something more; share with them what makes us feel good. Our home does not offer a simple holiday but a sensory experience. We like considering it as a meeting point, drinking coffee beside a crackling stove, glancing a book or just chatting a bit.

Overall, a really great family run hotel. Very friendly staff and always helpful. The hotel and rooms are all beautifully appointed, very rustic and traditional according to the area. Breakfast area is a beautiful setting providing a very homey and cosy feel. (although note they dont have a kitchen, so they cant offer any hot options for breakfast). The only down side is there is no bar. After a days skiing its nice to sit with family or friends and have a drink in front of an open fire, unfortunately they dont have this. There is a small suitable area however when we asked they did inform us there isnt really a bar and in fact this area is cold and unmanned on an evening, so its not really an option. Nevertheless, the hotel is great and I would definitely recommend.

We have just come back from having an amazing week in La Thuile. Locanda Collomb is the best hotel we have stayed in. It is full of charm and is really beautiful. The staff are really friendly and happy to help you in anyway. We didn't want to leave. We are already considering our next trip. Worth 5 stars in everyway.

Let's start with the obvious one. It is not a hotel, more like a family run B&B. To me the four star rating would reflect B&B rating, definitely not a four star hotel. I stayed in a deluxe room, which was quite spacious though with a strange layout. My friend had booked a standard room, and he did not have many praises about it. The layout of the room was three rooms. Main bedroom. Bathroom? with shower, wooden bathtub and a reading corner with a rocking chair. Second bathroom with toilet and sink and towel rack. The bathtub did not receive any hot water and was slightly tiled backwards so it never emptied fully. The shower was quite good. The towel rack never really worked properly during my stay. I did mention this to the staff and the solution was to turn up the heating in the room to 26 degrees. The noise isolation has room for improvement. I could hear people above playing music late at night. Finally, a lovely surprise one morning when the boot-heater in the garage had turned itself during the night. Nothing more pleasant than frozen ski boots in the morning. Now to the more positive aspects of the stay / place. The location is very good. Few minutes stroll to village centre. 10 minutes walk to the main lift. Off-street parking for five cars. Breakfast was excellent with good variety. Sleep quality in my room was good other than bit of music from the neighbor. I definitely want too return to La Thuile for the skiing. This place would not be in my top choices to stay, but given the shortage of accommodation it is not a bad choice.

We booked this B&B based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t as good as we’d hoped. Our stay is summarised as follows: Our arrival was delayed due to a bag not making it onto our flight. However, we still managed to arrive by 8:15 pm. Management not on site (no English speakers available) but we were able to speak to them on the phone. Basic welcome provided. Our room was spacious, with a separate area for a single bed if required. Unfortunately there were three overpowering scented diffusers in the room. These are unwelcome (potentially harmful) and suggest that the room has odours to be masked. If a room is cleaned sufficiently then diffusers are not necessary. I removed them because they cause me headaches. Cleanliness: 4/10 the bathroom was not clean at all. Hairs in the shower, basin and around the skirting board. Shower plug hole was dirty. Shower sealant was poorly installed and grimy. Flooring was defective, unhygienic and needs replacing. Tiling needs re-grouting. Bathroom needs an overhaul - looks like a diy effort (see photos). The management are clearly aware of these issues yet chose to ignore them. Considerable layer of dust under the bed (final photo). Been a while since the bedroom had a proper clean. Comfort: 5/10. Plastic under sheet on the bed makes for an uncomfortable nights’ sleep. Pillows were lumpy foam. No duvet. Instead a blanket (or similar) in a duvet cover. Not warm enough and we didn’t sleep well. Mattress very firm. A resident in the room next door snored loudly all night. Made it difficult to sleep. We were provided with ear plugs - clearly the owner was aware that the snoring was an issue. Who wants to wear ear plugs on a short ski break for two?! Good provision of tea/coffee etc. Useful to have a safe. Lack of useful power points for UK converter plug. Basic wardrobe facilities. Breakfast was good. Eggs cooked to order were very good. Lots of options. Staff generally friendly. Parking available adjacent to accommodation. Gondola a brisk 10 minute walk, or bus stops outside the hotel and runs every 30 minutes. Five minute walk into town. Good ski area with a variety of ski runs.

This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good with tea, coffee, juice, ham, cheese, cereal, eggs cooked for you and wonderful cakes and pastries. The staff were especially helpful at breakfast and the owner was also helpful booking restaurants for us, all the information we needed and everything to make us feel welcome. There is a ski bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you up to the slopes or it takes about 10 minutes to walk. We love La Thuile for skiing and would definitely come back to this hotel.

This is a hidden jewel of a hotel. Great location, clean and very friendly. Nice choice for breakfast and comfortable bedrooms. Would certainly like to return one day. Facility to dry your ski boots at night a useful plus.

We spent few nights at this cozy family run hotel at LaThuile. Owners were very friendly and helpful and gave good tips for skiing & restaurants. Each room has unique decoration. We stayed at the ground floor on standard double room with limited mountain view. Room was located next to the reception and in case it was busy in the lobby you could hear the noise in the room. It did not disturb as we were rushing to slopes anyway but could be an issue for a light sleeper in case one would like to sleep in. Bed was comfortable and there was necessary equipment. Hotel offered also slippers and bath ropes for the Sauna users. There is complementary wood heated authentic Finnish Sauna in the garden. Breakfast was good with few options for cheese, ham, juice, cakes and fruit + Nespresso coffee machine. There was more choice for food towards weekend. Location is good approximately 10 minutes walk form the slopes and there is a ski bus stop right at the front of the hotel. All restaurants and shops are within a walking distance from the hotel. There was also free parking next to hotel. We would choose this hotel again in case back in the region.

I spent the weekend with my family, we got two connected rooms and had a wonderful time. Ombretta will do everything she can for you to feel welcome. Liked best the breakfast. The room could be a little warmer, but we were in October, I'm sure for the winter will be nice.

A fabulous tiny hotel / very upmarket B&B. We had two rooms for our family both of which were beautifully decorated in the Alpine style. The entire hotel is very "ski" themed, so this really suits the location and the spectacular surroundings. The owners are incredibly hospitable and a wealth of knowledge. They do not provide food other than a very significant breakfast spread. Great basement garage for safe bike storage. The town is inundated with restaurants however so this is not a problem. We would highly recommend for a family visiting in the summer, especially with mountain bikes or walking.
