This is a big hotel with so many departments for families or group of people; nice and charming town, enjoyable scenery, and amiable people makes it a perfect place to spend the weekend. Only downsize is that parts of the hotel need maintenance and the parking lot is so big that is confusing where to park to be near your...

Having read reviews before staying at the self catering apartments, I was dubious about what we were going to. However, I'm a strong believer that you get what you pay for. We got an excellent deal at these apartments and got a fab weeks stay for what we paid! Kitchen had enough equipment for us to cook our own meals...

After reading a lot of reviews of this place before booking we decided to book it purely on the following factors that were more important to us than 5* luxury! 1) the location is excellent, ski in ski out! When you think about it that is what your holiday is for (if going skiing that is!) 2) the price -...

We stayed here for a week as leaders on a school ski trip. (So I don't know the cost). Firstly I'd say it's not 4 star, maybe 3? The place is a little tired (TV had built in VHS tape player) but it suited our needs. The rooms are spacious and the location is excellent for the ski lifts, a...

Very convenient for the ski slopes. The apartments seem to be variable in quality. Some are acceptable others are totally unacceptable. We sampled both so beware. Ask to speak to the manager Eleanor if you are not satisfied. She was extremely helpful in changing our apartment. The corridors were warm, the apartment was warm. Plenty of hot water in fairly modern...

We were told this was a 4* residence, it barely exceeds a 2* if you are self catering and want clean and comfortable. The only good thing in the whole apartment was the mattresses. The kitchen had a hideous two ring cooker, a complete lack of any useful utensils (thank goodness we took a cutting knife and bottle opener!) or...

Stayed in the Monte Rosa apartment section which was nice and looked fine, was warm with good heating, with a great location, but several bad points. Room was tidy, but not clean, all kitchen utensils only been clean in water so all greasy and needed cleaning before use plus dried food stuck on work surfaces. Only one plug in living...

What to say about the Atahotel Planibel Residence! Well lets start with the complex itself. This consists of the hotel building out front with the "residences" or apartments behind, which in order of distance from the lifts are Monte Bianco (closest), Monte Paradiso, Monte Rosa, Monte Cervion and finally Grand San Bernardo. Whilst the Monte Bianco is no more than...

Myself and 3 friends stayed in a 4 person apartment which we were all completely happy with! There was an ensuite bathroom for the double room and a bathroom next to the lounge sofa bed room. We had a balcony with a view of the slopes and had adequate cooking facilities - we made chilli one night! There was a...

Excellent location for lifts for skiing. The apartments are fairly basic especially the kitchens, no oven, only a microwave and don't even think of boiling the kettle at the same time as using the microwave. Bring your own sharp knife and mugs. Bathrooms fine. Monte Bianco is a little more expensive than the Monte Rosa end and a little better...
