We spent one night at The Summit Lodge. The place was quiet but lively, which was exactly what we were looking for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jim and Dexter the lab, and then Tracey. She showed us around the property. When we went inside, it was truly five star - spacious room, lovely decoration, luxury lounge, complete with...

Thank you so much for your review - it is great to know that everything was up to expectations. The breakfast bread is always a favourite! Plus it makes the kitchen smell good whilst it is baking....few can resist! You missed meeting Monte - our latest addition, he is quite a character, Monte is a blue Burmese and has already...

We stayed at The Summit Lodge for our anniversary, it was a perfect place for a special occasion. There are not many rooms, and they are very private. The breakfast was really good, especially the fresh bread and butter. We wish we had opted in to the dinner they had the night we stayed (extra cost), it sounded really nice....

thank you so much for your review and your kind words - well, dinner next time! (and if you have any special requests we usually manage to deliver)! - Local, seasonal and flavoursome is our normal repertoire though. We always do a fresh loaf for breakfast - nothing quite like hot, freshly baked bread. Tracey

This was the second time my mother and I have stayed here and it was even better the second time! Tracey and Jim really know a good time! Brilliant food, socialising, homemade baked goods and DVD collection! Really enjoyed meeting the other guests and having dinner with them. Really welcoming and relaxing atmosphere - just like coming home. Hoping to...

The Summit Lodge was a lovely. Its in a convenient location close to Martinborough, Greytown and Masterton. Nearby Gladstone Inn serves great food. Facilities are very high quality. Wonderful breakfast in the morning around a dining table with other guests. Hosts very hospitable. ( Nearby Gladstone Inn serves great food.) Great all round.

I stayed with 4 friends so we had all three rooms available and exclusive use of the lounge, courtyard and spa, it was awesome. We only stayed one night but it was so relaxing and we were so well looked after that it felt like we had been away for longer. Tracy and Jim were delightful hosts, very friendly and...

We spent two nights in mid-February with very welcoming hosts Tracey and Jim. Five star lodge setting, facilities and food. We enjoyed the company and wide ranging discussions over drinks/dinner with a Scottish couple and German couple the first night, and then two English couples the second night. They were all touring around New Zealand and loving our beautiful country.

Tracy and Jim were wonderful hosts who made us feel like friends, even though we only stopped a single night. We enjoyed dinner chatting with them and their other guests. Our room was well appointed and we left the following morning after breakfast having had a lovely time.

My partner and I booked the lodge as a getaway from the city and for some much needed time out together. Finding this gem in the middle of the sweeping Wairarapa valley was in a word, bliss. We were met by Tracey who immediately made us feel welcome, as did Oskar the cat and Dexter the chocolate lab. We had...

Thanks Lisa - loved meeting you both, yes, a great weekend! We always enjoy meeting and talking to guests....and we would love to host you for dinner next time.
