This hotel would be considered “rustic” compared to the others we have stayed in the Banderas region. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful The 2 bedroom we were in was furnished more like a beach cottage. The view was outstanding. To enjoy this location a car is necessary and one must like to vacation in a certain lifestyle that is conducive to not expecting much in terms of amenities . Being that this was our first time to Bucerias we didn’t know anything abut this or any other place. We found out that the Vista is located in the far north corner of the City, which meant lots of walk to restaurants and the city center. A walk, even along the beach of over 20 -25 minutes each way to get to the “restaurant row”. Due to no fault of the owners, we decided that we needed to upgrade our accommodations and moved somewhere closer in order to enjoy our week. We left after one night (no I did not ask for a refund). The one area of improvements for the owner is to improve on their communication. It would take over a week to respond to emails and I had to utilize the PayPal grievance system to get a refund back from an earlier reservation that we need to cancel- a 3 week process

We had a fabulous vacation in Bucerias, staying at the Vista Vallarta Suites. It is located right on the beautiful beach, has a large, clean pool with a swim up bar! Our room was very clean with plenty of space. Bottled water is available and our kitchen was well stocked with any appliances we needed. It is an easy beach walk into the main town of Bucerias and the local market. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back again!

While vacationing in Puerto Vallarta we were interested in visiting Bucerias. The Vista Vallarta All Suites on the Beach was of interest to us because of the location away from the hustle and bustle of Bucerias. We went to the hotel to check it out. We were greeted by the manager, Geraldo, who showed us around the property, the different rooms available, the pool area, and beach area. This is an older and quiet resort on the beach. Some of the suites have been renovated and are beautiful. There is a new tower of Junior Suites, no kitchenette, but all rooms view the ocean. The pool, palapa and bar area are first class. We had a short visit with Geraldo at the pool palapa where he impressed us with his music selections on the big screen tv. The bartender and hotel staff were very friendly. We will definitely be booking a stay at this resort when we return to Mexico in the fall. You need to check it out!

This place was awful! I booked a room here for 7 nights and was placed in an old worn out room with most awful decor that you’ve ever seen. After complaining to the front desk, I was able to upgrade to a remodeled room for an extra $30 usd per night. The food was lousy none of the taxi drivers even knew how to get to this dump, it was like Bucerias was in another planet than The surrounding cities. The housekeeper “cleaned” our room 2 out of the 7 nights we were there and would never leave face towels even after tracking her down for doing her job. I would have to go to the front desk for towels ( which they don’t have) and tell them that our room needs towels, she would then show up 1-2 later with large towels that we already had. The bartenders and the waitresses are very nice, but kind of on the slow side. I just don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you’re from there. I have never had a bad time in Mexico, but my experience with this place makes me not want to come back again.

The hotel is on beautiful grounds. It is a little on the rustic side but they are remodeling parts of the hotel. The nicer/more modern rooms are on top of the restaurant. The restaurant is very good and the prices are very reasonable, although they seemed to be short staffed. The staff was nice! Especially the staff that works in the restaurant and bar area. Carlos and the other lady (I didn’t get her name, but she has long black hair) we’re fantastic and super friendly. The weather was super pleasant even though the weather app said it would rain - it didn’t. The room we had was spacious and very accommodating.

It is a drive from the airport and town. When we arrived there was traffic so it took close to an hour to get to the hote. The street to get there is filled with potholes so it can get a little nerve racking to get to the hotel. The beach is on the rocky side. Def bring your water shoes for the entrance into the sea and then there is softer sand after a few feet in. Overall we loved the hotel and will definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Second visit here in 8 years. The spacious rooms spoiled us - full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room. The first reservation was great but we wanted to stay longer so management gave us another room - this one all redone inside, white, bright, and comfortable. The pool is sparkling clean and the grounds immaculate. Every room has a view of the ocean. We can't wait to go back again.

Vista Vallarta is a gem of a place in the northern part of Bucerias. Far enough away from the central part of town but close enough to walk to various restaurants. Very affordable and extremely clean and quiet with most rooms having kitchens and multiple bedrooms. The staff is very professional and accommodating from Sofia at reservations to the restaurant staff of Carlos, Paulette and Oscar. Happy hour from noon till 7pm is a plus. Enjoyed our time and would love to return.

We had a fabulous time! The front desk staff and servers were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and large (equipped with a swim up bar/restaurant!!). There were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and the grounds were lush and green. The beach went on forever, easily walkable, nice calm waters and we pretty much had it to ourselves.

The hotel offers an excellent happy hour 12-7 2 for 1! Bucerias is a short 10 minute walk down the beach.

This hotel is on the beach but the review said a sandy beach and it was very rocky and hard to walk on.
It is super old and in need of a major upgrade. Beds were horrible even after getting a foamy. No hairdryer and it took me 3 times asking to get one. We had to ask for a shower head as it shot water on the wall only. No face clothes, one steak knife for a sharp knife, toaster oven that didn’t work well. The fridge froze our fruits. On top of that, they wouldn’t give us their internet rate. So for 4 adults, we paid double! Go to a different place. 😎 it’s right in the 200 highway and you won’t get any sleep. Beautiful views from our room didn’t outweigh the negative parts.

Hi, What is cost of a taxi from the airport to the Vista Vallarta?
Answer from Kathryn S

There aren’t any life jackets provided but you could purchase flotation devices either in town or at the various big-box stores in Bucerias (Mega) or Nuevo Vallarta (Walmart). There are sometimes floaties available for check out at the front desk, but these aren’t supplied per se (they’re items other guests have left behind). There is a very shallow kid’s pool and a shallow area/ wide bench in the larger pool.

Yes you can bring your own food onto the beach, just not in the bar area You can buy beer from the bar at the hotel and there is a convenience store close by. You are about a 20 minute walk on the beach to the markets etc
