Awesome place! The room and the bathroom were sparkled cleaned although not having the room carpeted would make it even more appealing. The area is quiet and surrounded by nature. The staff is professional and nice. It is an oasis of peace and contentment after a full day. The price is good and really affordable. A continental breakfast is served. I highly recommend.
Large, clean rooms, very comfortable mattress. Continental breakfast included, served in a bright room overlooking the water. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Close to start of velo route, as we were there to cycle. Pool very refreshing at end of day
The location of this property at the end of a peninsula ensures lots of beautiful views of the river and the barrier islands beyond it. We reserved a carpet-free room in the hotel for an overnight stay. It was a nice room with a comfortable bed. It even came with a continental breakfast served in a sunny room overlooking the river. I would highly recommend reserving a cottage for several nights to really appreciate this establishment. They are cozy and have pretty well everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. This would be a dream location for a conference!
Received an e-mail thanking us for using their cottage. We informed them that we will “NOT” be returning. We informed them that the cottage smelled cigarette smoke and we were told that the cleaning lady usually lets them know and they charge the person more that was using it before us. Asked for another place and it was not possible. The smell was still there after the spraying and there was this huge ashtray next to the door so we moved it to the other end of the patio also there was also a bunch of used metal flares. We had a child with us and not impressed that those things were not picked up. I took some paper towels and picked up 18 cigarette buts right in from of the patio rail. WOW!!! The oven door in cottage # 27 has a door that you have to fight with to close and a fan that needs to be replaced. We opened windows and then we had to go outside to close one of them. The air conditioning sounds like a jet landing and takes for ever to shut off. It need to updated for sure!! The sofa needs replacing as we had to put cushions behind and under us to be comfortable. The Bathroom and bedrooms were fine but thats it!! For what we were charged for the cottage, is over priced for what we received. We will not refer anyone to that establishment. Certainly not a “Resort”.…
Continental breakfast was listed as included on their website, in the confirmation email, and on Expedia but they no longer offer it due to Covid. Not offering the breakfast because of Covid is acceptable but refusing to update their information accordingly after a year is not. Tissues and toilet paper are the lowest of the low quality, even in the Executive King Suite. Staff made no effort to advise us of the Covid restrictions and unavailability of the amenities (no house keeping, no breakfast). Management made no effort to apologize or make up for their low quality and lack of advertised amenities.
Could not get over here because of the pandemic. The hotel charged my credit card for 2 nights anyway. I called and they would not reverse it. Had to call my RBC to get them to reverse the charges. This was totally unacceptable!! With this pandemic you would think that people would not try to take advantage of people in these times!
I was assigned here on conference several years ago, and so pleasantly surprised. It's stuck with my memory that we just had to come back for a vacation. Beautifully kept cottages on a point. Quiet and modern property. Pool out of service due to covid-19. Could almost walk, and definitely bicycle to town. Lots to explore in the area. The only downfall is the terrible cell service out on the point in the cottages.
The rooms & grounds remind me of Caribbean resorts. Lovely, large, and spacious, this is a great location for an extended stay. Lots of room to run & play, directly on the ocean, with spa and lots of amenities. The grounds & rooms are gorgeous! The one weakness is the lack of restaurants on site. We had to drive into town for meals, so we couldn't sit back & enjoy a few drinks. The resort would really benefit from an oceanfront resto-pub. I'm not sure what the castle next door is all about, but the resort would benefit from developing that site into something interesting. Tracadie-Sheila could end up as a great tourist destination with a little bit of work on this site.
I travel the northern part of New Brunswick multiple times every month and stay at this resort at least once or twice per month. The cabins are always clean, and the beds comfortable. My only complaint is with the beds' pillows, as I've found them 'lumpy'. As mentioned, travelling and 'eating out' gets old. Luckily, every cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to whip up a home cooked meal. Did I mention every cabin has its own couch, lounge chair and rocker/glider? Awesome! The cabins are also equipped with a heat pump and propane stove in the kitchen/dining/living room, and baseboard heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms. Though, during a stay last winter on a particularly cold night, I found the main room quite cool, as the heat pump couldn't keep up. Luckily, I always pack my ultra-sexy one-piece zip-up pijama. Conversely, I stayed again last night on what was the hottest day/night so far this year and was very comfortable with the air conditioning. During multiple stays, with the price I pay, I'd expect someone to refresh the sheets, empty the garbage or even refresh the 4 Kurig k-cups...but none of that is available. Each additional k-cup will cost you $2.00, even on a multi-night stay. Take care to pack garbage in multiple bags to keep the smell down if you're there over a few days. My last comment has to do with aforrmentionned price. During the slow season, with the business rate I'm allowed, the price is literally only a few dollars more than a stay at a nearby city's hotel room...and I have a full cabin to myself to cook a great meal in; great! Though, with this special rate, I'm not allowed a waterfront cabin; not that big a deal. But, as I've recently found, their 'high season' prices jump over $50.00, and no special rates apply. For that reason, unfortunately, I've had to make other arrangements. All in all, I adore staying at this location and highly recommend it. The cabin, the privacy, the opportunity to have a meal...did I mention the rocking chair?…
We enjoyed the cottage we stayed in, which looked out towards the bay. It was in excellent condition and very well supplied. Each cabin has a porch, the size of which varies depending on the design of the cabin. The whole place is great for kids as it is spacious and there is a lot of room to run around. The staff was friendly.
