As if the ride up the foothills to Fitzpatric Winery isn't beautiful enough, you wind up a small paved road, turn a corner and there she is ... an amazing lodge style B&B. We are greeted by the hosts and invited to a complimentary beverage (wine or otherwise). We get checked in to a beautiful and well appointed 'theme' room...

We stayed at Fitzpatrick Winery and Lodge for two nights while in Fair Play for a wedding. What a find! As other reviewers have said, everything was superb, from the gracious hospitality to the lovely rooms and the delicious breakfasts. We were in the Winemaker's Suite and loved the spaciousness of the room and the elegant bathroom. We especially enjoyed...

We are "regulars" at Fitzpatrick's . The best bargain in the area with breakfast to die for. The view is superb and the family atmosphere keeps us coming back. The recent upgrades make the rooms even more comfortable.

This was our second time staying at Fitzpatrick's. We took friends this time and stayed two nights. Our next time we are going to stay over on their Friday Pizza Night, I hear it' the best and it's busy so book early. It is truly breathtaking and peaceful. Diana cooks up a the best breakfast, not just basic food, she...

after spending the previous night up the road at Barkleys, this place was a god send! Comfortable, clean rooms with a great deck overlooking the beautiful foothills and grape vines. The hosts were very nice and the price was very reasonable...$99 per night and included a great breakfast. Highly recommend staying here if you are spending a few days visiting...

We just made our first trip to the Eldorado/Amador County wine country. We were referred to the Fitzpatrick Winery and Lodge by another bed and breakfast owner on the north side of Placerville (Fitzpatrick's is south of Placerville) as she was not open that night. We arrived in the middle of the evening and were greeted pleasantly by Diana Fitzpatrick,...

What a great winery and bed and breakfast! We went up on a Sunday, wine tasted with Diana (owner) and had dinner at Bicconato Trattoria. Great meal by Chef Giovanni. Our room at the winery was the Irish Room and it was so cute and cozy. Our breakfast from Diana the next morning was so good, made to order. Plan...

My new husband and I stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. This is not the place for a "loud" honeymoon, as lots of the rooms just share a wall, but it was perfect for us, exhausted after months of planning and just wanting to relax, drink some wine, and enjoy the view. The giant picture window and...

Brian and Diana are fabulous hosts! The log lodge and views are breathtaking; the wines magnificent; and Diana's breakfasts are delicious. Enjoy the peace, serenity, and great company. Fitzpatrick's is a step above the snobbery of the Napa Valley. Warm, welcoming, knowledgable wine makers and hosts. Our trips to Napa will now be replaced with Fair Play and Fitzpatrick's. You...

We are a group of 5 couples who have been going to Fitzpatricks for about three years, and we go there this coming weekend again ... it always feels like going home. It's unpretenscious, yes a little dated in the bathroom department, but authentic. Brian and Diane are wonderful people and so dedicated to their organic wine production and good...

“All rooms are very nicely decorated, appointed, and comfortable but our preference is definitely the upstairs French Room with panoramic view of vineyard and Sierras. It has its own balcony, a window seat/daybed, a cast-iron fireplace, and a truly luxurious bathroom; it gets good morning sun and is shaded in the afternoon.”
