We chose Hotel Trasimeno because of its great location in Passagno del Trasimeno. It turned out we made the absolute best choice. First impression was the greeting at the front desk by Katya. She spoke good English and was so warm and welcoming. The room looks plain by American standards, but the facilities are great: Brand new air conditioner, brand new (cold) minibar, ceiling fan ( first 1 ever seen in a hotel in Italy for 30 years of travel here), great shower, balcony, and fully length mirror. Most importantly, was the kindness and warmth of the people who run this hotel. Beautiful city to visit and outstanding hosts. Was a wonderful visit.

The hotel is very hard to find, and the staff is really not welcoming. Ms Roberta checked me in with a harsh expression. In the next day, the hotel was obssessively desperate for me to check out in the exact time (low tolerance for late check out, they have threated to charge extras if I didnt leave the room in time) because they needed the room cleaned even that we were at low season, and there was only me in the hotel. Ms Roberta went to clean my room, and she was very upset because I had left some easily removal popcorns on the table, and wanted to charge me an extra. In a very rude manner, they asked me to clean it myself. It took me 5 seconds to remove those few popcorns from the table, so they wouldnt charge me an extra. The hotel overall is small, but the staff in really not welcoming, and even rude sometimes.

Across the street from beautiful Lake Trasimeno. The owners, Catia and Eros are warm and generous. Each morning we were treated to good espresso, fruit, croissants and more. Upon leaving we were presented with a wonderful bottle of the local red wine. Both of the owners speak english. The room had good air conditioning, and the french doors opened onto a nice balcony. The small minibar did a good job of keeping our Prosecco cold. Nearby are a number of good restaurants, a wonderful gelateria, and many bars. There is a small grocery nearby. In the evening it is wonderful to walk across the street to the bar have a cocktail and watch the sun go down over the lake. We came for two nights, and stayed ten. Parking is on site. The only negative we found was the smallest shower (yet) in Italy. Strongly recommended.

We spent half of our honeymoon here and enjoyed it very much. The staff of the little, cosy hotel was very kind and friendly. We had good conversations with the male owner and they gave us good tips on where to go and what to see. We had some problems with the toilet and safe box but they fixed them right away. My husband got a wine bottle from the staff for his birthday! And we got another one when checking out! They must have noticed the birthday from his passport. The hotel dog, Irma, was so sweet! We totally fell in love with him. The location is perfect, just next to the lake but not straight to the street. The only bad sides were that the room was small and the shower cubicle very small and that there wasn't any vegetables and bananas for breakfast. We recommend hotel Trasimeno both for couples and families!

Stayed here in late May 2014. The hotel is located in the heart of the town, although down a short access from the main street. There is good off road parking at the hotel. The rooms are of reasonable size, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff spoke adequate English and were very welcoming and helpful. Overall an excellent value hotel. We hope to return one day.

The staff here are excellent, and happy to offer advice about the surrounding area. They were very accomodating of our inability to speak Italian, and were even happy to teach us a little! AND they kindly gave us a complimentary bottle of wine when they realised we were celebrating a birthday. Beautiful surroundings in close proximity to the lake, as well as a healthy choice excellent restaurants. We both really enjoyed out stay - GRAZIE MILLE!

Exactly what I needed for my two week holiday. Well positioned in Passignano for the lake, ferry point, restaurants, and the train station & bus stop if you want to visit Perugia or Assissi. Everyone at the hotel is really nice and so helpful. Clean, comfortable, with a fridge and air conditioning in the rooms. Great value for money with Inghams. Would definitely recommend.

OK hotel, set just a few metres back from the main street, only a stones throw from the lakeshore. If you drive down the short little alley, you'll find parking available for a few cars just outside the front door. There are a few restaurants up and down along the promenade. The hotel has free wifi, you have to ask at the desk for the code.
