Nestled in a picturesque location, Karibea Resort Sainte-Luce - Les Amandiers has its share of admirers who cherish the beautiful gardens, inviting pools, and the hotel's vibrant atmosphere, often brought to life with local music and a congenial bar scene. While guests commend the staff's friendliness and attentiveness, some report service inconsistencies.
The rooms, although clean, draw criticism for being outdated and in need of refurbishment. Moreover, reviewers frequently feel the resort does not provide value for money, citing steep prices for amenities that don’t meet expectations.

15-day stay in the Caribia part (apartment). Spacious and correct. In terms of the kitchenette, not much is available, but it still has an electric coffee maker, a microwave depending on the room because some have a mini oven instead. Housekeeping and change of sheets and towels twice during the stay. Swimming pool next to our pleasant apartment. Right next to the swimming pool, a laundromat is available for residents at a rate of €8 for 8kg of detergent and softener included. 3 restaurants near the hotel or you can walk there which are very good and reasonably priced. The hotel restaurant should be avoided because it is not famous and the waiter is unpleasant if you do not take the most expensive menu. 3 swimming pools in the complex very good, entertainment side not much to do at the hotel. But well placed for visiting the south of Martinique. Average hotel beach because of dangerous currents, great beach at St Anne and the salt flats with lots of small restaurants. The car is necessary for walking. Very pleasant stay.

We stayed at this hotel from December 25, 2023 to January 1, 2024. The swimming pools are small and always full, there are not enough umbrellas for the number of chairs. In addition, if you have booked a room with a kitchenette, there are not many dishes and utensils for cooking, not even a sharp knife. There is no toaster, no filter for the coffee machine, nothing to clean the dishes: soap, sponge, cloth to dry. Our room (unit with living room and outdoor kitchen) had not been renovated, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Highway noise is really loud for residences across the street. The decor was very ordinary, very ordinary. The restaurant (buffet) is very expensive, we preferred to eat at the Zen restaurant a few steps away, as well as in the bakeries. The beds were comfortable, but there was a lack of blankets: just one sheet is not warm. In short, it's more beautiful in the photos, but I love Martinique :-D

Quite isolated hotel requires you to take your car to visit or dine outside.
The hotel is quite pretty even if for the island of flowers, it is really lacking.
The room overlooks the entertainment area or group day every evening from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Unable to hear his TV. The room is without any character. No decoration. The safe is broken, as is the telephone, which is supposedly under construction.
The shower without a door or curtain happily sprays the tiles of the bathroom where the WC is located... not practical. The bed is very good. Very pleasant staff everywhere.
The air conditioning is placed right on your bed: it curdles or burns depending on whether you turn it off or on.
Breakfast very good, good coffee, industrial but good pastries. The bread of France is not worth that of the mainland. The orange juices are very floaty but the overall impression is good.
The meal plan is too expensive for what it is. Avoid! Pizza stand with mozzarella without this cheese but a fatty gruyere gratin!
Forget the calm at the swimming pool. This one is open to external visitors who pay for access with a swimming pool buffet formula at midday... we ended up with 30 gypsies who took the deckchairs already taken and confused the swimming pool with the Stade de France. Considering the price of the room it’s shameful.
Questionable reception, they give you a plan to find your room, no one opens it for you to see that everything works or helps with the luggage. Abnormal waiting time.
I will not return to this residence any more than a hotel where obviously there is no money to renovate. Too bad because the staff is very kind and attentive.

We had to get angry to have daily cleaning and towels changed as well as non-existent shower gel.
Huge stains on the couch. The lack of maintenance is blatant. Let us also note that a meal price of 37 euros for a canteen menu is exaggerated.

My stay was disappointing. The resort seemed outdated and was very expensive for the quality. My room was far from the beach and the pool. I had a room with a kitchenette, but half the kitchen, including the sink, was located outside. This was strange and inconvenient. Additionally, the kitchen was not well appointed. There was no soap, sponge, or dishcloth, no sharp knives, cutting board, no kettle, etc. The phone and internet in the room didn't work. I had several issues including a power cut in the room while I was there. Staff was not very helpful in resolving these issues.
Further, the location isn't good if you don't have a car - it is too far to walk to Saint Luce. The website says the resort has 3 restaurants, but most of them were closed and the one that was open had very limited hours.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Several dance events in the evening with orchestra.
We were at the hotel only in the evening and at breakfast, in this sense we had higher expectations, however the hotel is quiet and pleasant with a nice room (9323). Small downside: the invasion of red ants in the bathroom (but cleaning was done every day, the problem was quickly resolved).
Areas for improvement: the bedding could benefit from being more comfortable, the mattress we had was "hollow" which gave us back pain quite quickly. Also, a refresh or at least a cleaning of the poolside would be welcome (appearance of mold especially in the large swimming pool).
Beyond that we had a pleasant time.
Note that we were from September 1 to 15, tourist activities and tourist staff were on pause before resuming in October, so many restaurants, museums, distilleries, etc. were closed.

1. For travelers coming from Canada, purchasing with Vacances Air CND, you will be asked for a paper printout of the reservation documents. You may even be made to feel like you didn't pay enough or didn't pay; Email received from reception on Oct 8, 2023, Sunday.
2. From the morning of Monday October 9 and throughout the week; weeding and cleaning of garden grounds. It’s true that this was especially necessary for the congress expected the following week. But we had all our breakfasts to the sound of lawnmowers, etc.
3. Very poorly equipped kitchen; impossible to find a bread knife, the bar lent us 2 wine glasses which we had to bring back as if it were a favor.
4. In room 6132 there are large cockroaches. We left insecticides.
5. Be careful and important, if you are allergic, be careful you will return to Canada with your back full of bedbug bites. Photos available. Despite the discussions, we will deny the problem and in order not to lose face, we will agree to change your room. But we will talk to you about other mosquitoes (yen yen I think) which have nothing to do as if you were imbeciles. We will tell you that there will be protocols for France which is living with this problem.
6. You will be shown the 6229 mattress as new, but see for yourself, it is dirty. No choice…
6. No apologies and sympathy neither during discussions nor when handing over the key upon departure (check out).
7. Go to Cayalines, it’s much better.
In short, what pretension is this Karibea because it is not enough to have a beautiful website.
as the expression goes “walk your walk” this is what good customer service should know and regardless of the origin and accent of the customers…

There is room for improvement in the service, particularly the breakfast (not very qualitative, limited choice; there are scrambled eggs but making a simple fried egg seems an insurmountable obstacle, even in off-peak periods for the two people at the kitchen) The price charged for a beer is indecent. (5€, I'm talking about taking it to the room...) The rooms are a little old but OK for the price, I was lucky enough to have a very nice view, no complaints so far. The wifi works once in two, it's annoying when you're working (!).

When we arrived the rooms were not ready, we had to wait until 4 p.m. to finally be able to have them.
We left with our 2 children, as we had booked a room with separate beds for them, they had really dated rooms, uncomfortable mattresses. The double room was more comfortable but changing the mattress would not be a luxury.
The day after our arrival, no more shower gel in the dispenser of the 2 rooms, at reception we were informed that there was a shortage of shower gel. We had to go and ask for a little soap twice to be able to wash.
The deckchairs in the lower pool are very old, those in the restaurant side pool are more recent.
Overall, the hotel has good infrastructure, the staff is pleasant but it really lacks refreshment.
Breakfast and dinner were very good but be careful not to get caught with a piece of fruit in your hand for a snack, they will make it rest for you. The fruit juice for breakfast needs to be reviewed because it is not made from fresh fruit.
We recommend the lobster offered at the restaurant (at an additional cost), you are served a whole lobster with a side of rice and cristophine puree.

Renting an apartment of 4, air conditioned only in the bedroom so it was very hot in the living room (the air mixer does not ventilate anything). The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and has resulted in torticollis and severe back pain. When we arrived, sheets and cutlery were missing. The presence in the hotel of gendarmes who do not respect the premises, who play ball loudly in the pool, who smoke absolutely everywhere in the hotel. All this was reported to the reception who, to compensate us, allowed us to postpone the room to 3pm instead of 11am. When we went to our room at 1pm to change, the card had been deactivated and of course the person who had authorised us was on break. Fortunately, we had cleared the room of our belongings since the morning.
Pros: the staff at breakfast (room and kitchen) was very nice
