If you want to leave the world behind and escape from the stresses of a busy life, then look no further than Fountainhead. My 15-year-old daughter and I have just returned from four days in this wonderful Spanish oasis of calm and tranquility. The food is simply divine, the mountain views are stunning and the charming Angus and his siblings...

This is our fourth visit to Fountainhead and keep coming back because the tranquility and hospitality are a truly wonderful combination. As well as the stunning views, the warmth that comes from the hosts of this family run retreat makes it feel like a home from home. They leave you to enjoy the peace of the the mountains but are...

No doubt Fountainhead is located beautifully in the mountains approx 1 hour outside Malaga. The views were stunning, even in rainy weather. The promise of complete privacy and stunning views is kept, however we felt that some of the other promises were not kept. The family runs the place definitely with a lot of heart, however we felt the execution...

A unique homely, family run small boutique hotel. Peter is "mein host" and Helen, his wife, provides Michelin star food. We stayed 2 nights over New Year and had 3 fabulous meals, including a 10 course taster menu on New Year's Eve. Service is excellent, personalised and responsive. A very special place R & M, Cobham UK

We were lucky enough to be allowed to go to Fountainhead just for dinner because one of our friends lives locally (normally it's only residents) and the food was wonderful. Excellent service from the owners' sons and a superb menu and wine list. Got a few glimpses of the hotel which looks very charming but be warned it's seriously quiet...
