All facilities were fine, the food was excellent and much as you would expect for a pub/hotel. Happy with my 3 day stay but for one thing. The complete lack of suitable storage for clothes in Room 6. This meant I had to live out of a suitcase for the duration of my stay. A very tiny wardrobe exists that...

Very quiet but made it easy to catch up and chat but lacking atmosphere. Steak cooked well, chips nice. Cod small portion and greasy, twice cut chips not crispy and greasy, mushy peas lovely. Despite just two of us in restaurant staff a bit lax, friendly though. Menu unadventurous despite write up on website.

Thank you for your feedback though it is disappointing. I have reviewed this with the manager and the chef to improve our consistency. Peter

Warm, hospitable and comfortable. Arrived Sunday, checked in and had a fantastic Sunday lunch and a couple of drinks. The staff so pleasant. Out for the day and returned to have a relaxing evening in the bar. The rooms and beds were small but very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and superb, compliments to the chef. Everything about the...

Just returned from a night in this beautiful inn. The room was small but cosy. Loved the bathroom and low ceilings. Fantastic value for money. Breakfast was well staffed and great quality products. The bar staff were attentive and the bar is open until 1am. Not a great deal to do in the little town but we had a lovely...

We had planned a weekend away (my girlfriend and I), from viewing the pictures on the website and on 'wowcher' we were very excited. when we arrived the inn looked okay and was well presented. Bar and restaurant looked very nice. However when we got up to the room it was NOTHING like the pictures at all. the pictures give...

I am sorry you were disappointed. The changes made since those pictures are, new curtains, new carpets, new bed covers and cushions. We are updating the photos now. Bizarrely this is the first complain I have had that the rooms have been refurbished. Peter

Thank you for the feedback. The Greyhound is a lively village inn with rooms rather than a hotel. As such we do keep the bar open late on weekends. Peter

Second time we have visited the Greyhound and again we had another amazing stay. Staff are friendly and helpful from check in to checking out. The evening meal was out if this world and the breakfast was delicious. We will be back again.

Booked our 1 night stay a month in advance, we just wanted a little night away, go out for a nice dinner and come back for some drinks and be cosy. Got checked in as soon as we arrived but I think that was the only plus. We had room 6 master room. 3 bulbs were out, room was freezing,...

I have been in correspondence regarding this stay. Suffice to say that staff accounts differed.
