The place it's wounderfull, you never are going to regret. Things they you have to know, they have dry toilest which it...

I stayed at El Copal with my partner and friends for 4 nights and 5 days. I highly recommend it: food is fresh and fantastic, much better than other places we ate in Mazunte and down the coast. Bedrooms are clean and a hammock and table means we could hang out there if we wanted, though we spent most of...

We found that piece of paradise on our way to see the stunning sunset at La Punta Cometa, the southernmost point of Oaxaca. Everything from the cabanas, home cooked meals, desert beach nearby, was a delight. Owners are friendly and gracious people. Breakfasts are relatively expensive for what you get but are worth the try. If you have chance go...

The most extraordinary place to stay if you're looking for a quiet and romantic spot. Leave your computer and cell phone behind and just relax and enjoy the sound of the sea crashing against the beach. On top of everything, excellent service from the owners & amazing food.

We loved El Copal, we loved everything about it. The reason why I picked this place was because of its environmentally friendliness (solar energy, composting toilets, local materials, etc), but we were very surprised as soon as we got there. Our cabaña had a lovely view to the ocean, where we actually saw whales one morning. The rooms are clean,...

For Thanksgiving my in laws, all 18 of them, and I went to El Copal. At first I was a little uneasy with the whole eco-friendly hotel idea since I have small children. As we arrived, all my fears were put to rest. What a beautiful place. The hotel itself is perfectly done and decorated in a simple yet traditional...

Here you can learn that not everything you are used to in a hotel is really necessary. Although some tricky to get there, once you arrive you will immediatly feel the relaxation this place brings. From the nicely appointed rooms (palapas) with amazing views, to the very good food offered you will not miss the aircondition and other commodities that...

My husband and I literally stumbled upon El Copal while looking for a place to stay in Mazunte. Although it was a little out of our price range for our month-long holiday, we were completely charmed and knew we couldn't resist staying here for a few days. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and went beyond the normal call...

El copal is amazing! It is on a almost desert playa: the only inhabitants are crabs, pelicans and gulls. Behind the playa, plants and only another house. Moreover the hotel is pretty small (4 cabanas), thus you'll probably be the only one on this big marvellous playa. There isn't coral reef, thus the ocean isn't like a mill pond, but...

Beautifull sunset, incredible terrace - beautifull sight of the sunset. Romantic cabanas with outdoor shower with sea-view => unbelievable! Clean - good food and a very nice host-couple. Can recommend it to all who want to have a quite stay without lots of tourists. PS: During the wale season, you can see some just from the restaurant terrace...!!!
