We booked just one night during a local hockey tournament with several other player families. Lisa contacted me on a few occasions to make sure we had everything we needed in preparation for our stay. We made liberal use of the event hall for potlucks and gatherings, and the kids could play alongside. Highly recommend this venue. Appropriate for multiple purposes.

Thank you! We appreciate your wonderful feedback. We enjoyed having the team and we were excited that you made the event space work for the hockey players and families. I know the potluck was a hit and the kids had a great time. We look so forward in welcoming you back!

we stayed in a room with two queen beds ,washroom, heat pump ,with air conditioning ,washroom ,wifi worked great for us,and satelite tv which was hard to figure out and no instructions were there so we got the owner down coffee pot ,microwave and small fridge it is considered for over night guests but as they were booked they let us take it for 4 nights.
i would not do it another time i would prefer kitchen etc for that many days, there was an odor in august 2021 when we were there gave us a head ache same for someone else but we found the it was a scent machine plugged into the wall once were moved it and the other person did it was better, there was an ant problem. I am disabled cant walk far they apparently have a river there ,i couldn't walk all the way there ,they had gazebos etc too couldn't get to them ,i would recommend offering a ride down and back at certain times in a golf cart as not all older people can ger around good but they still would like to see the property ,owners are very friendly people and try to help you out quiet o,clean place ,they did have traps down for the ants .the bathroon did have a grab bar so that was a plus.i think all wash rooms should have a grab bar over the tub you never know when you or your family may need it

Stayed in one of the newly renovated cottages. The cottage had everything you needed and more. Everything from the furniture, to the flooring was nice and you can tell there was was a lot attention to detail when the renovations were done.

Nice little touches, such as a complete knife set, BBQ utensils, full set of pots and pans. We had everything we needed to cook our meals in the cottage.

The cottage was supper clean it had lots of extra linens and towels in the bathroom. Nice size tub and lots of hot water and great water pressure.

The hosts Paul and Lisa could not be more helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked with us numerous times to ensure all was good.
You can easily see how much pride they take in their place and the grounds.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There was a gazebo with a BBQ that you could use.

Lots of room behind the cottages with a nicely mowed field leading down to the river.

We can't wait to go back

Great experience! The owners are super friendly, and always made sure we had everything we need We got to use their new BBQ on the deck by the shore, and they helped us get it started and provided us with tools. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of green space for playing lawn games. Multiple fire pit areas stocked well with wood and kindling. Wood chairs outside every room, and cottages all had access to their own bbq/patio. Would love to come back here!

Briarwood has a beautiful location, with great views. Lisa and Paul were extremely friendly. We stayed in the motel section and were happy with the clean, functional room. Our room had great internet connection, had a fridge with small freezer, microwave and a coffee maker; however, you need to make a full pot. There is no food offered on the property, but Alberton isn't far. We were visiting family so had no need for food services. We had picked up some juice boxes and muffins before arriving for our breakfasts. We will definitely return just to enjoy the restful atmosphere.

We stayed at the Briarwood for two nights while we attended a family funeral at the beginning of January. Lisa and Paul certainly went out of their way to accommodate our needs and be sensitive to what we as a family were going through. Having to coordinate rooms for over 26 people including children was challenging and Lisa was always eager to make us feel welcome and gracefully handle all the commotion that went on given the nature of our stay.

We had a chance to stay here for a few nights over the summer while touring this end of the island. The room was beautiful, king size bed, looked newly renovated. The area was very quiet with lots of space to see some amazing views or just sit and relax to talk and have a drink. Had a chance to speak with the owners a few times and they were such a nice couple, made us feel very welcome on or first trip to this end of the island.

I’ve stayed at the Briarwood 7 times in last couple years.
New owners; Paul, Lisa, and Snacks have really upped the ante for lodging up West, PEI.

Fantastic waterfront location with easy access to all you’d want to see in Western PEI.
Comfortable beds, clean, well appointed and updated rooms.

I recommend Briarwood to all my friends and co-workers and now I’m recommending it to you!

Looking forward to my next visit!

Stayed here for two night while I do the Island Walk and coming back for another night in a few days. Lisa and Paul are super friendly people and are truly interested in making sure you are comfortable. Room was cozy and bed made for a good nights sleep. Beautiful, peaceful grounds to just sit back and relax by the water.

We stayed in the "inn" and not in the cottages so did not have the advantage of a view from the room. The rooms were big, clean and well appointed but not cozy. This facility is located in a lovely area of PEI and is a good choice if you do not plan to spend the day in your room -- and rather plan to enjoy the grand adventure of PEI on bike or hiking.
