When I arrived to Mitu Wasi I was pleased to see a very cozy, clean and comfortable environment. The cabin rooms are very clean, neat and have a bathroom and shower that is a pleasure to walk into. The outdoor shared patio has plenty is seating and relaxing areas such as hammocks. The family that owns and runs this place...

We visited Tarapoto in August 2015 and stayed at Mitu Wasi for three nights. It is the "no-frills" type of accommodation but, this is what my wife and I look for when traveling. As long as we have a private bathroom and clean beds, the rest is bonus. The service was wonderful. Roberto and Ana did everything possible to ensure...

A lovely eco lodge. My friends and I stayed at the Mitu Wasi in August of 2015. The cottages were clean, bright and very comfortable. It was an oasis of calm from the busy dusty street we arrived on. The grounds were a natural array of palms stone pathways and hammocks. Anna and Roberto were charming hosts who cooked up...

Ana and Roberto as the owners of the hospedaje were really friendly and helpful, made us feels like home. Their daughter also played with our Daughter, both of them so happy to play around the garden inside the hospedaje. The room was clean, the breakfast were delicious, we even can order Lunch or Dinner. In the morning of our 3rd...

We spent 3 wonderful days at this family owned ecohospedaje. The bungalows were really comfy, good breakfast and the members of the family were amongst the friendliest people I've met in South America. They helped us with the tours as well as with the organization of a small trip to Urku's animal rescue center. Highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 days at this very recommendable place! The bungalows seem quite new and are spacious, clean, with showers and fans and with a very special cosy atmosphere. Breakfast is served in the garden (between the hammoks and banana trees) and is delicious. At all times the owners were extremely caring and attentive. When my boyfriend...

Absolutely gorgeous common grounds and super friendly staff! Jose brought us on a hike and waterfall tour that was absolutely breathtaking! And that was after we were served breakfast at sunrise under a beautiful gazebo. Wish I could stay longer.

I really enjoyed my 3 days at Mitu Wasi. This ecohospedaje makes you feel like home right from the start. We chose a package which included the airport pick-up, breakfast and tours to Blue Lagoon, Ahuashiyacu, Lamas and Moyobamba. I belive the rates were fair and, compared to the other hotels, quite cheap. I'd deffinetly return!

A great little place. The dusty plain street it is on and the outside do not appear great at first sight but behind the front gate is a lovely shaded garden with humming birds hammocks and simple cabins. “Rooms are lovely, like little cabins. I'd recommend the ones in the back of the yard, far from the main entrance.”
VeroHurtado, 4 Jun 2014 | Read review
“The only reason I rate location as very good compared to excellent is because it is about 2 miles from the town plaza. However, with motortaxi prices and availability for 2 to 3 soles ($.70 to $1.00), it is still very convenient. Choose a matrimonial if you are a couple or even if not. The bed size is queen and the mattresses are new.”
