Nice place...I enjoyed the butterfly battered fried shrimp and husband Musher hamburger. The Panini machine was not working and there were no specials to choose from. That didn't matter as there are enough items to choose from on the menu. Waitress was nice and our food was hot. Nice scenery while waiting..with the water rushing by just outside the window.

Whether coming out of the Park or heading into it, you're likely to be hungry when you reach Whitney and The Mad Musher will satisfy your hunger. I've stopped here many times and the food has been consistently good, though the service is generally a bit slow.

We had the Venison Stew and the Coconut Curry with chicken. I thought both were great, my wife liked the stew better though she found the curry was really good as well. All 3 beers in the Muskoka Brewery sampler were really good. Peanut butter fudge brownie - everything a desert should be - light flavourable and delicious. Wait staff...

The Mad Musher is a very nice place. Stayed in a double bed room for 2 nights. The room is clean, and very good. The bathroom is clean, wide and shared with only one other bedroom. The restaurant is also very good. The chef Tom prepares the best ham, cheese and turkey sandwich, served with fresh franch fries. After a...

For an economic stay with no frills in a hostel type room - can' t be beat. Shared washroom. Fantastic food at a great price for breakfast, lunch and dinner with nice friendly service. The owner is an avid photographer and displays many local artists photo images and all are for sale. Worth a look.

My friend and I decided to do some back country exploring in Algonquin Park by kayak in mid September so we needed some reasonable accommodations not far from the park. But what we found exceeded our expectations. First off the room we had faced the river with a large picture window. Looking further we found we had access to a...

This last trip of 21 people on a birding field trip stopped in for a lunch. It was very busy and the service was very slow, but we enjoyed the rest, the food was good, the draft beer was excellent. I have been here 2 times prior when it wasn't so busy and would gladly visit it again.

I stayed here on a Sunday night in early October--the peak of the fall colour season. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable, and the shared facilities (bathroom, kitchen and TV room) were great as well. I ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were fabulous. Great value, I...

This not expensive hostel was amazing. Best hostel of our one week canada journey. I wish i could stay there longer than one night. Stuff was friendly. Rooms were clean, it was quiet there (restaurant closes at ten i think). There was large shared kitchen with all thinkable equipment, TV lounge, beautiful bathroom. Hostel was few km from Algonquin provincial...
