The rooms are clean and tidy and there is good parking. The lady that checked us in was very pleasant and the wireless internet was free and worked good. If there is any negative, the rooms were cold and only had little heaters. We left them on which helped, but it was mid winter. The rooms were quite expensive, but...

Usually we stay in Lake Tekapo but couldn't this time. We decided to try Fairlie and travel to the Hot Pools. We won't stay in Lake Takapo again after staying here. Only half an hour drive and so very convenient and less expensive. We had a studio room and it was clean, very warm and everyything that we needed was...

If you are near Fairlie and need a place to lay your head, you should stay here. Kitchenettes in each room so you can cook your own meals which saves money. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms with big tv. Delightful family running the hotel. This place is top notch!

Arrived en masse with a family emergency and rocked on up to the door with no prior booking. Erin jumped into action and not only made sure we were comfortable but took calls, brought food and generally looked after us. When she had a full house on our last night's stay she arranged for a room at another motel so...

Was trying to find 2 nights accommodation around Mount Cook / Lake Tekapo. Either booked out or ridiculously priced. Reluctantly opted for Fairlie and was pleasantly surprised. A bit of a distance from the mountains and lakes but still drivable. Very comfortable self-contained units with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and spacious lounge. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Free unlimited wifi.

We stayed here in December 2014 and this review is long overdue. A summary as follows; Location: The motel is located off the main street in Fairlie. It is easy to find and quiet at night. Fairlie is approximately 20-25 minutes drive south east of the gorgeous lakes; Tekapo and Pukaki. Nearby villages are known to offer the occasional treat...

From the enthusiastic and welcoming host to the 'eco' friendly products, this place was a welcome retreat. The unit was spacious and had all the essentials presented in a tasteful manner. I would thoroughly recommend this motel to any traveller.

What a great start to our NZ adventure! First stop Fairlie. Cute little town. Hostess was so friendly and helpful. We arrived late and she was kind enough to meet us outside our room on arrival. Recommended a great restaurant in town, The Red Stag! Room was clean, spacious, very comfortable. Thanks Fairlie, Thanks Aorangi Motel!

Spent two nights here and we're warmly welcomed. The unit had a separate bedroom and a large lounge/ dining area. This also contained a single bed for an extra person. The kitchen was well equipped and around the corner from the lounge which gave it a separate feel. Wifi was free and unlimited for a change. A very comfortable stay.
