We were arriving in the late afternoon, the staf was very friendly. She addressed us by name and offered many information about things to do in Mt Cook without us having to ask for it. Free WiFi, free parking, great location with great view, comfortable clean room, friendly helpful staff, what else can you ask for? Totally value for money.

Stayed there for a night in Sep! Very quiet place, not many tourists around. The staff from the lodge recommended some walks for us. We took up the Hooker Valley walk. So glad we did it! Stunning view of the Mt Cook & best way to explore the place!

Upon arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a nicer room for free. Great start! Room was nice with a decent sized ensuite and the bed was comfortable. The view from our room was amazing - directly at snow capped mountains. If you don't get a room with a view the common room has a balcony and...

Very clean, good location with very beautiful scenery. Also has a huge bath room with the modern spa. We visited during the winter but it has good insulation and heater. One of the best accommodation in mount cook so far. However, you will need to make sure that you should leave at 10 am sharp!! No exclusion

For the price the alpine lodge offers a comfortable stay. Our room was warm, the service was very friendly, and the basic amenities were available. As with any equivalent accommodation for the price it was not luxury. The shower room was cold. They supplied wifi, but this was by a limited card, and you could only access with one device...

I love this lodge! Stayed two years now for two nights each time and really cannot recommend highly enough. This time was with my parents as well, and we booked the adjoining rooms. The setting was fantastic and the view from the rooms was lovely. Love the communal areas, the kitchen was well stocked, there was ample room to eat...

The view from the communal area was great, I actually got up at 5am to try an get some serial star photos, but unfortunately the...

Motel connected with Lodge has good views, is comfortably fitted out and had excellent heating (this was mid-winter). It is connected with the Hermitage and there was a free shuttle up to the Hermitage which at this time of year (low occupancy) was more-or-less on demand: excellent service given sub-zero temperatures. Motels also near the main lodge with bar/restaurant.

Very friendly staff. We arrived 1 day earlier than our booking and gt lucky of getting the last room although we pay more due to its last day of summer season. Very tidy communal kitchen. Very clean room too.
