Ripple Hill Hotel is a quaint country hotel that was the perfect stopover before entering the Baviaanskloof pass. We stayed in a room with an en-suite bathroom. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is lovely and a good overnight stop before or after visiting the Baviaanskloof. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was good. Our room had an en-suite bathroom. The airconditioning was very welcoming as it was really hot in this part of the country. If anything...

Food is great. Good value for money and great taste. Good friendly service. Did not like the fact that smoking is allowed in the bar area. Otherwise good country hospitality. Will most certainly visit again

After consideration to our activities in Hankey and Patensie, we opted to stay in the area and "found" the Ripple Hill Hotel. Booking online and a couple of calls to ensure we got space for four was a breeze with the efficient and friendly response by management. We were surprised on entering, from the friendly and warm welcome to the...

A very convenient stay after a exhausting but beautiful travel in the Baviaanskloof. All you need in one place -a little oasis - the hotel is very neat, well located in Patensie - near local businesses. The hotel is partly renovated - still in process- very clean and crisp. The local bar and restaurant is also part of he hotel...

Spent 1 night on our way to Baviaans. Spent a Sunday night which is obviously not the best night to be there, as the establishment is closed. However we were made to feel welcome and John has left braai utensils and all we needed to do our own thing. Bedrooms recently renovated, so clean and comfortable. There was a smell...

We booked in for Sunday night...the hotel is closed on a Sunday. But the owner when we rang him knew we were coming. "No problem, park your cars round the back and you will find the key.....etc etc". Because there was no restaurant open that evening he had said we could braai. Everything we could need (not food obviously) was...

Patensie is a typical sleepy klein dorpie (little town) with petrol stations galore, some quirky farm stalls, a liquor store, butcher, ATM, Spar and hotel where everybody hangs out. Ripple Hill was that hotel. If heading out to the Baviaans - as most tourists in this area are likely to be - Patensie is the perfect stopover on the eastern...

This is the best value for money. The hotel has oldworld-charm. Wide corridors and beautiful rooms. The food is devine and the owners are so accommodating. My husband used the conference fasilities for the day and they gave me late check-out in the afternoon (it was a 39C day outside and I could stay in a nice airconditioned room!) I...

The look of the hotel is pretty cool - a lot of the décor is from the 1930s but the things you'd want to be new are new, such as the bedding and towels. It's fairly close to the Baviaans and the wifi is fast. However there is some room for improvement with the hospitality skills. When we arrived no...
