We found this B & B very good, clean and friendly. It is ideal for visiting Chatsworth and is situated on the edge of Baslow. Our breakfast was excellent and was freshly cooked by Christine who made us very welcome. The room was nicely decorated and above average size, the bathroom was spacious but I found it rather cold due...

Stayed for two nights and couldn't fault it. Room was immaculate and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with a great range of options. It's a little out of Baslow which wasn't a problem but does mean a short walk, not all of which is on good paths, if you are going into Baslow - torches are provided in the...

We stayed over for one night as part of a Chatsworth House visit. We had a "superior" room, which was extremely spacious and very very comfortable. Being a listed building, with consequent restrictions on glazing, you could feel the cold at the windows. However the hosts had thought of that and provided an electric heater in addition to the central...

Heathy Lea is located down a sweeping drive through a small wooded area on the edge of the wonderful Chatsworth House. This beautiful old farmhouse is a warm and inviting place to rest your head, with the best English breakfast I have had for a long while, beautifully prepared by our friendly host Christine. We can't wait to come back.

Stayed one night en route from South west to north west. Friendly welcome. Warm clean room with quirky features in keeping with the age. Lovely views straight over chatsworth park. Fresh milk and cold water in shared fridge downstairs. Comfy bed nice enough suite. Breakfast as one would expect but not exceptional. All in all fine and good for value.

What a great little B&B in the English countryside. Being on the edge of Chatsworth Park, it was a pleasant 30 minute walk to the House and Gardens. Caroline was a gracious host. The breakfast was scrumptious - museli, juice, yoghurt, fresh brewed coffee or tea, eggs, fresh bacon, sausage, beans and tomato. Room 3 was decent sized with a...

Lovely room! Gracious host! Beautiful views! Great location! We were arriving late and called Christine and she was very accommodating. Gave us walk and hike and dining ideas. Stay here if you are in the area visiting Chatsworth!

We stayed here one night while passing through the area. Christine was lovely, very friendly and the bedroom was comfortable with a great view. Downside:- There was no guests sitting room, so no opportunity to meet fellow guests in the evening, which we missed. Also found the traffic noise quite invasive although the house is not actually on the road...

We stayed at the Wash House for three nights, as guests at a family wedding on site. Everything about our weekend was superb, not least the comfortable and quaint accommodation in an outstanding location! Clive and Christine make superb hosts! Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Old Wash House in the B and B grounds for a week. The inside was beautifully laid out and converted with lots of character. We were able to see the stream outside the window and over the wall in the garden. The B & B owners were very friendly and helpful. We ordered the welcome hamper...
