It's lovely inside and the staff work very well. We had the lunch of ham and eggs and a burger and got it all within an hour. It is a really nice pub to visit and works out cheaper than eating at Chatsworth, just remember that there is a car park at the back of the pub that you can...

We stayed for 2 nights with our dog and for the price of the room we thought this was an excellent value choice. Staff are warm and helpful and there is a relaxing and cosy atmosphere to the whole place. The location is unbeatable on the edge of Chatsworth. Our room was great, eveything you could need and fresh tea...

Having been advised we would be required to pay a £12 surcharge for the dog per night, which according to the web site is for extra cleaning, we were somewhat surprised the room was not vacuumed (or sheets changed) once during our three night stay. The receptionist advised it was normal practice not to clean the carpets and I would...

We had not intended to, as there are so many options nearby, but after our first nights Dinner, where we found the locals very warm, the staff, Amy and Chris, so fun and able, and the food very good, we relaxed for the remainder of our visit knowing we had found the place to relax, be coddled, and dine very...

Really nice old pub that has been renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious for the age of the pub, clean and well appointed. Dinner was nice as was breakfast. No complaints really. Not far from Chatsworth - our reason for being there.

Visited The Devonshire on spec after meeting family for a walk nearby. The restaurant was full but we were accommodated on a nice big table tin the bar area. The restaurant looks very nice. The menu is short but good for that reason with a combination of traditional roasts and hit meat sandwiches. The roast chicken was cooked to perfection...

Excellent venue if you have dogs as they are allowed in all areas of this establishment Very comfortable surroundings - food was very tasty and my only criticism is that the portions could've been a little larger but apart from that i couldn't fault it

This is a lovely gastropub located right near Chatsworth. It's a very warm and cozy pub with delicious food. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. They have a good selection of beverages and an interesting menu. The vibe is really comfortable and perfect after a good day of walking.

Came in for a drink late in the evening and when we wanted another we're told the bar was closed at 23:15; none of the traditional "time ladies and gentlemen please" which we expected so had to sit there waiting for our taxi without a drink for 45 minutes while others who were clearly favoured by the bar manager got...

I dropped for an early dinner after visiting Chatsworth House. The actual pub part is very cosy, unfortunately while many of the tables were empty they all had reserved signs on them (and some were still empty when I left). I was shown to a table in the new restaurant part and it is nice enough. The food is superb....
