The only problem we had all week was that the food was NOT hot, we were half board and the choice of food was good but the temperature of it was poor.
Great location and brilliant rooms...excellent holiday....Thanks.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and fresh pure white towels changed daily, beds very comfortable and rooms tastefully furnished .
Breakfast was great with a large variety of choice and all nice quality .
On-site bar was good and played nice variation of music .
All staff no matter who were polite and smiling .
A special mention to Louiza in resturant who is the most friendly and lovely lady , and also Ajaks???he was always smiling and happy .
All of the staff work hard here and it shows .
Hope to return again one day .
You can have the option to have your room cleaned as often as you'd like, daily, every other day etc.
Throughout the week the reception staff were very helpful when we needed to know things regarding day trips out.
The only thing I want to fault is the breakfast really, we stayed B&B and found the buffet food quite cold and didn't taste the best. Strange bacon and not normal sausages (sorry not being picky just making you aware when you arrive) We lived on the pastries and toast for rest of the week haha although I've not been to a hotel that does a bowl of melted chocolate to use to put with anything so the croissants and toast were suffice enough. Just a shame the buffet breakfast wasn't brilliant. Fruit, cheeses juices plenty of.
Overall I would stay here again as it was a friendly and clean hotel and literally only 2 minutes from the beach which we spent most of our sunbathing time at.
The hotel offer a good breakfast with a variety of hot and cold options and also pool towels for a small, refundable deposit. The room was clean and a nice size with balconies/terraces overlooking the pool. Handy if it’s busy and you need to nab a sunbed, as we did find people put their towels out early and then head out for the morning. All in all we had a nice relaxing stay here though.
This resort is very close to the airport so does have some low flying aircraft noise, but it did not affect our stay as they are pretty infrequent. (We are used to London airports)
We arrived for a 7 night stay in Kamari and were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who could not have been more helpful regarding information on the hotel and throughout the stay offering information on taxi's etc and getting these organised. We were showed to our room, poolside room (which we didn't book) so this was a lovely surprise. The rooms were on the smaller side, however were always spotless, beds extremely comfy, lots of storage space and beautiful bathroom with a huge shower. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which would probably expect from a high rated hotel.
The pool areas were extremely crowded, a lot of wedding parties, therefore most sunbeams and areas around the pool were taken by those guests by 7/8am. We chose to go down tot he each most Fays due to this, however others who prefer pool areas instead of a beach may not appreciate the noise. This wasn't something which necessarily bothered us. The planes fly low over the hotel which we enjoyed watching and listening to, this is advertised on the hotel so do not recommend if the noise would bother you.
The breakfast buffet was great, lots of options available, huge variety of breads, cheeses, meats, hot food, fruit, yoghurts and different cereals. The buffet was always clean and the outside area was just beautiful. One of the ladies Deena (I think), seemed to be working all day and all night, always had a smile on her face and was super polite! defiantly deserved a special mention.
The pool bar area as always busy by groups of guests, however the couple of drinks we had in this area were lovely.
The location of the hotel was also perfect ! a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk at the front which is lined with loads of restraunt's and bars ! spoilt for choice. everyone is so polite in Kamari and we would defiantly return to this resort.
The local busses are so easy to use to travel to Fira and perissa and the little water boat which travels to and from perissa each day is always a really good adventure, only 15/20 minutes and super cheap.
We had a later flight coming home, so enquired about keeping he room for showers etc which he receptionist was super helpful daw as able to sort this for us, this was great for an afternoon flight home! defiantly worth an ask fi this is your situation.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and we got access to our room after a short wait. The room was large and spacious with a fridge and a cute balcony. The weather was never really warm enough for sunbathing and as the pools are not heated, we didn't spend much time lying out. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the strip and there's a wide variety of restaurants and bars there. The breakfast buffet wasn't great, had the basics to get you started
If you stay in this hotel, I would highly recommend getting a car, we rented from across the road beside the shop. While the strip and beach are nice areas, there are so many scenic towns and villages to explore with out of this world views.
This hotel fits right in with what I always imagined Greece would look like. Large white buildings right by the ocean. This property is not oceanfront but from the rooms, some of the rooms you might be able to see an ocean view. It’s just walking distance from the beach (the black sand beach). If you walk down to the beach they’ll be several different restaurants and lots of shops. You won’t have a hard time finding anything delicious to eat.
Our hotel room was huge with a large bathroom. A big open shower and lots of counter room. There was a fridge, a whole kitchen up with a stove in the room. It’s also a desk and a couch. We had lots of room and a large balcony. On top of being really happy with our room, I was very impressed with the staff. Every staff member was superb and went out of their way to help us! I really loved them ALL! They were all so helpful and friendly!
This is a solid choice if you’re going to be visiting Santorini. You can’t go wrong!
