Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
I am a seasoned, mature female business woman, with three decades of extensive international business and leisure travel. This short stay, four nights, sea view deluxe room, all inclusive, was also as a solo traveller. I would first like to say that this was one of the most enjoyable short stays, I have experienced anywhere, in recent years. From the moment I arrived and was warmly greeted and assisted by Antonio, Concierge, with my rather large luggage, to the moment I left. Check in was seamless and quick (and yes, I recommend an online check in which was confirmed by Reception), as only Credit Card details were required to be confirmed. I was then instantly shown to my, hand picked (again online!), corner, deluxe ocean view room. And just so I do not miss anything out, I would just like to say a big thank you to the staff in the main Restaurant, all the Chefs and workers, especiailly Jesus! Not to mention, the quality of the food and service are just excellent. An equally big thank you goes to the staff of the Bodega Restaurante and Maria Jose, who served me the most sumptuous food for lunch, daily (at the best table with a stunning seq view, Table three!) The quality and service, again, simply five star. I shall now move on to the Pool Bar and a special mention to Ismael and staff, again, yes you know, great service with always with a smile. Next ALL the staff in the Lobby Bar, who serve the most delicious, fresh cocktails and the amazing night time entertainment (especially the Flamenco ladies and guitarist), just ace and authentic Then most importantly, the Housekeeping. Oh my word, this Hotel is absolutely obsessed with cleaning, both common areas and rooms, spotless. Last but definitely not least, a big thank you to all the Reception staff and particularly wonderful Anais! Always helpful, friendly, patient and even surprised me (!!!) with a lovely early birthday gift of Artesan wine. It was just a perfect ending to a perfect stay. So, am I going back? You bet I am and very soon. Thank you all - wonderful job, wonderful stay and most of all, I really did feel completely at home in your very well run establishment. For me, aside from all the fantastic service, this is priceless. MUCHAS GRACIAS!

The Iberostar Andalucía Playa hotel has been our vacation destination for more than 10 years. 10 points in attention, facilities and service. It is a pleasure to return every summer and meet the people who have served us with such kindness and affection for years. The rooms are always impeccable, the reception has that unique aroma that we miss the rest of the year (one day we will discover the secret to making it smell so good...) and the common areas are always clean, renovated and very well maintained. This year they have given sustainability another spin and have replaced the huge trash cans in the common areas with three bins (organic, paper and plastic) that allow recycling.
The service at the Pool Bar continues to be excellent, always well attended by Jesús Linde, Salvador, Francis, Ismael and the rest of the team; the food was great (we recommend all the salads, the beef burger and the club sandwich and, above all, the slow roast rib and the two fish dishes).
The Sea Soul beach bar, this year managed by the hotel's Cataria restaurant (with 1 Michelin star), offers a very varied menu, of excellent quality and with prices more in line with the Michelin star it holds than a beach bar; It is worth treating yourself to the seafood portions, the roasted octopus or the almadraba tuna.
In addition to relaxing in the hotel's central pool, we have once again used the hammock service on the beach; An umbrella with 2 hammocks costs €17 but it is worth it for the tranquility, comfort, cleanliness and impeccable condition of the hammocks. Pablo has been in charge of this service for several years, always keeping everything in perfect condition and serving clients, in Spanish and English, with kindness, respect and good presence.

Great hotel, 4+ stars, not sure it’s a 5*. Easy to find, ample car parking,€20 a night, so a bit pricey. Reception staff welcoming & helpful. Room was a good size & bathroom fine, however no separate shower & as ever you had to climb into the bath to have a shower. Also lack of places in bathroom to hang towels to I dry off- do they didn’t dry off & needed replacing daily as a consequence. Bathrobe provided& nice toiletries. Comfortable bed. Balcony was fine- seats not that comfortable & don’t think our balcony was swept in the full week we were there- it was permanently sandy. Loved the water stations in the corridor- meant we had access to cold drinking water all the time at no extra cost. The hotel public areas were spacious & peaceful- no noisy animation at the pools. Pools were great, good towel service & pool bar/ restaurant fine. We stayed half board - buffet for breakfast & dinner. Good choice of food but as usual a few bottle necks. The drinks service at night was a bit random & we had no idea if anything was included or if it was charged to our room. I think this needs to be dealt with. Also if you asked for a glass of wine at dinner you rarely got the same size or the same wine twice. If you gave food allergies, you have to be aware. We had one person with a shellfish/molluscs allergy & most nights couldn’t eat the fish as it is all cooked on the same hot plate- shellfish, white fish etc. No ingredients list on any of the dishes. We spoke to guest services & a chef about the oriental section & he advised that as they bought the sauces in they couldn’t guarantee it was shellfish free - so just avoid that section! We ate well, however it made things a bit restricted for that person.
This is a good hotel & the location for the beach is perfect. It was reasonable value for money.

Very nice hotel
Welcome well, room with side view sea well appointed and superb view.
The room staff is very friendly and efficient: everything is clean, when at the restaurant we have rarely seen such a choice and this with quality of the dishes offered; side wines and drinks very good cards all served with professionalism and very attentive to the holidaymakers.
The different bars are also very nice and the staff nice.
The "Flat" is the absence of a shuttle; the various airports are relatively distant ( Jerez, Seville 140 km!! ,
Malaga)
For us, vehicle Reservation in Seville (rentalcar.com on internet then Keedy Reservation Voucher, then Seville Airport: Europcar ???? but at the Europcar counter the agent informs us that regulations prohibit luggage in the back seat of the vehicle!!!!( Fiat 500 L reserved vehicle + insurance
normally suitable for 2 medium suitcases + 1 cabin suitcase) fine 200 euros if checked.
Disoriented, we give in for a vehicle to store all the luggage in the trunk.
Review: Taygo VW + insurance (and the employee develops: 1 scratch 800 euros etc....)
so insurance at the height of the vehicle which is practically new!!!!
For the record, the attendant who accompanied us to the Taygo had a lot of difficulty storing luggage; we had to tamper with the back beach.
Review:Original Reservation: 420 euros and finally:953 euros!!!! The holidays are off to a good start.
At the Pension parking 15 euros / day!!!! being all inclusive and having received for my birthday a coupon of 5% on a stay in all the Iberostars of Europe in 2024, we naively asked if a commercial gesture could benefit from this 5% discount on a stay.
Keep in mind that parking in the Inn area is completely congested and when you find a place often away from the Inn you are not guaranteed to find a place within a reasonable distance.
We contacted the "Public Relations" of the Pension which after several reminders to have an answer:
Royally offered us 5% of the 15 euros/
We doubt that the Director was aware of our proposal in light of the response.
We have an excellent memory of our 12 night stay at this excellent Inn, the only shade being the lack of shuttle bus which would have saved us all these inconveniences and the regret that the "public relationship" is not in unison with the Inn's amenities.

Hotel 100% recommended for those who want to rest, enjoy good gastronomy and one of the best beaches on the Andalusian coast.
Despite having a high occupancy, the hotel is very quiet, ideal for spending a few days relaxing.
Reception greeted us with a warm welcome plus both the restaurant service and the pool bar has been impeccable. Always attentive, and worried to make us feel at home. We would like to thank the head of room for his special attention and kindness.
The housekeeping service constantly helps you so that nothing is missing in the room.
The buffet has a variety of food, both for breakfast and dinner. La Bodega Restaurant also offers exquisite local dishes.
We will certainly repeat, and hopefully very soon.

After several years of spending the holidays in this hotel we appreciate a slow but inexorable deterioration.
This year to our surprise has been imposed the policy of charging the service in advance, at the time of registration at reception.
This circumstance, along with others, has led me to think about what the cause may be to act like this:
1.- There is no confidence that the customer will pay for the service.
Logistically this cannot be the cause, how will the lack of trust in your customers be demonstrated? No, this can't be it.
2.-This is a change in management.
After turning it over a lot I come to the conclusion that it can’t be this either, how can such a large chain, with so much experience and qualified staff make this mistake?
3. Financial problems.
Well, this is the one that I find most plausible, since it favours cash flows.
In addition, inventory management also appears to be involved, for example, in the hotel bars there are only three beer references, but only three in a five-star establishment.
The day after departure we stayed in a hotel of another chain of similar size that with four stars had in its bar twelve references of beer.
Another aspect to consider is the poor training of employees, I understand that finding prepared staff is complex, but there are certain details such as that when ordering a glass of white wine, there are also only three references, one of them is "house wine". When asking about it, not the harvest or composition of the grape varieties or the designation of origin of it, but the brand did not know it without looking at the bottle.
It is indeed a magnificent hotel with a spectacular staff but the management is making the spontaneity and freshness that were previously appreciated disappear.
We hope that all this does not lead to the hotel being "another beach hotel"

We chose this destination again and it does not disappoint us, the welcoming atmosphere, the rooms, the restaurants, gym, heated pool and massage and beauty services apart from the golf course and the beach restaurant but above all the people who work in it. From the moment you enter everyone is smiles and kindness and after so many times they are like family. Juan Jesús,Jesús,Carmen,Francisco,Pili,Israel,Leiva...and so many others that there is no room to write all the names that make everything to the client's taste. The varied breakfasts and always with live cooking waffles, pancakes and crepes, fried and poached eggs, various omelettes, sandwiches... natural juices of course and detox, fresh and dehydrated fruit, products for vegans, vegetable drinks... there is so much range of possibilities...
At lunches and dinners, live cooking also finds every day 3 kinds of meat (chop, entrecôte, sirloin, cheeks and chicken or turkey) and fish (bream, sea bass, croaker, hake, turbot...) and then dishes prepared at the moment like grilled octopus and puree, shrimp salad, foie and apple millefeuille... followed by various desserts such as fruit, ice cream, cakes and pastries.
Very calm and quiet place where there are hardly any children because there are no activities or entertainment for them, that's why there is the Iberostar Royal Al-Andalus with inflatables and gadgets in the pool. What there are are activities aimed at adults every day in the trx gym, spinning, yoga... and Aqua gym in one of the outdoor pools
