We were here as a family with 6 people and had a fantastic holiday. Our apartment was great. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a large living room. The kitchen has good standard equipment, if something is missing, the reception takes care of immediately. Best was the view from the balcony directly to the Atlantic Ocean. The booked breakfast I can highly recommend and is definitely worth the surcharge. The dinner buffet was delicious, but you can go to town just as well but cheaper. However, a car is an advantage for this. The hotel complex must have been seen, no description does it justice, it is a paradise! For me one of the most beautiful places I have been so far!

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment (novoresort). Extremely spacious. Modern & clean. Kitchen well equipped but missing oven gloves, tin opener and mugs. No kettle or toaster which would be nice to have. Great bathrooms (lovely showers). Mattresses not the best. Liked the terrace and patio furniture. Did not like wall art. Great to have parking space under the apartment. Staff friendly & helpful. Food & cocktails seemed ok, seemed a bit on the expensive side. Really liked the indoor pool. Stunning beach within short walk down a hill. Supermarket a few minutes drive away. I don’t think this place is 5 star as advertised (more like 4 star). We had a great time and would recommend - thank you royal hideaway (novoresort), we will most likely return as have family in the area.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and lounge area , and rated it very highly indeed .
The GPS took us straight there , but as there was no sign up at the time we ended up driving around for a while . Apparently , this is a new venture using part of the adjacent 5 star hotels apartments , and they had only been operating for 6 weeks hence no signage .
The staff were very helpful , and personally took us to our allocated parking , and in to the apartment itself making sure everything was in order. All spoke fluent english .
The apartment is beautifully furnished in a modern style throughout , and the finishes are 5 star . The kitchen is fully equipped , with a couple of exceptions namely no kettle ( common in Spain ) and no can opener . The place was spotless .
We had a ground floor apartment opening on to a patio with tables and chairs . We never sat on the patio as the sun never reaches it as all these apartments are face away from the sun . As a result the apartment was always cold inside , and in early May this was a bit of a problem and our only complaint . We tried without success to get the air conditioning system to blow hot air in the evenings .
The garden areas are fully landscaped to a very high standard and lounging around the gardens and pool areas was magnificent . The grounds are quite extensive so we always managed to find sun loungers and a fairly quiet spot to relax .
Its a 5 minute walk down through the grounds of the hotel and out over the sand dunes on to the beach ...... and what a beach ! You can turn left and walk to Roche ( about 3 kms ) or turn right and walk to Chiclana ( about 5 kms ) , and its a big wide sandy beach all the way . Great for long morning walks , and although there are lots of holidaymakers doing the same , the beach is so big that it does not feel busy or overcrowded .
You are free to use the hotels garden and pool areas , and some of the bars and restaurants , but some areas are restricted for hotel guests only .
Parking is free in the underground parking areas , and you are allocated your own parking place . But many of the parking places are much too small and it was a daily problem for us getting the car in and out its cramped parking place .
We would certainly go back again , as the quality of the apartment , the beautiful gardens , and proximity to a great stretch of sandy beach make this a dream destination .

Main bit of advice, have a tom tom otherwise you will get lost. Aparthotel nova resort is part of BARCELO sancti petri spa resort. It is the only red brick colouring building in the area so look out for that and you are at the right place. We arrived with my family, 2adults and 2 children late Saturday, and you first have to check in at BARCELO hotel, then they send you to apartment reception 50meters down road. Resort is outstanding, we were thoroughly pleased with what we found. Whole complex is secure and you have to gain entry through card keypad. Secure underground parking with allocated space, with automatic garage door. Apartment has lifts to all floors, straight from car park. Our Apartment (block 9, apartment 912) was wonderful and luxurious and spotlessly clean. It was on 1st floor and we had views of one Of the 5 pools and Huge lounge, 2 balconies with comfy furniture. 2 bedrooms with en suite filled with toiletries. Towels included, and both beach and pool towels are included and refreshed daily. Something we would have preferred to know in advance as we didn't know as we had packed ours. Kitchen has all you need, even the washing machine is a dryer too. Only thing not here is kettle, but has pans to boil water. Whole apartment has underground heating as well as air conditioning throughout and each room you can choose individual settings to suit your needs. Flat screen tv in lounge and bedroom but no English Channel on any. During our stay, October 18-26th the resort was almost empty, which was luxury. We almost had a pool to ourselves. There are 5 pools in all, they were spotless. Showers and toilets near every pool and all had drinks service at touch of a button. Children loved the slides and we went swimming everyday. The beach is 2 mins walk down from the children's pool. It is a lovely walk and lifeguards are there so very safe. Absolutely loved it here, luxurious, spotless, clean and in lovely setting with beautiful landscaped gardens. Would definately recommend and plan to return.

Unfortunately, this aparthotel is advertised as part of the 5 star Barcelo Novo Sancti Petri, which perhaps helped to promote relatively high expectations. The 2BR unit where we stayed for a night had clearly seen better times and was not very clean. The upper terrace with the Jaccuzzi was nice and sunny, but like everything around was in dire need of a good cleaning and some paint. Internet didn't work at all. The Barcelo hotel itself looked much nicer and we would have moved there, but they had no space.

We stayed as a family at the end of May 2014. The area was half-empty, which added even more luxury. The apartments are very specious and very good quality. I would recommend ground floor close to the path, which leads to the beach - it feels like you, have your own garden and have a great see view. Unfortunately, at the end of our holidays, one of the celling tiles above the toilet fell down just to my feet. It was quite heavy and luckily no-one got injured. Reception sent someone to replace it immediately.Normally they have a classic suspended celling all over the place, however in this bathroom the tiles pattern looked a little strange - like they did not have enough of materials, when building it. So, please be aware of this!!! Check the celling! Hotel Restaurant meal is quite expensive, so it is better to book it on a weekly basis at your check in or together with the room. Drinks are not included in buffet dinner! There are some places to eat around but not many in a walking distance. The beach is just down the lovely promenade from the hotel and is the most gorgeous beach, we've ever been!!! From the places to visit - there is a beautiful town of Conil De La Frontera just 10 min driving away. It is small and nice to walk around the old centre with lot's of places to eat and watch flamenco dance performance. Best ever option to spend the nights nearby!

I stayed for 18 days in this appartment and was overwhelmed for it is so big with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A big living room, great kitchen and a wonderfiul terrace having the garden and the sea directly in sight. The reception was really friendly and fulfilled every wish i had. I really felt staying at home. Breakfast and dinner were in the barcelo Spa Hotel. This is a wonderful Hotel too with lots of friendly employees.
I could tell you more about the terrific garden with ist pool and the great beach just in front of the Appartements but you should see by yourself and enjoy.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious. I had my children with me (2 & 4) and they loved the pools, the water slides, the wildlife in the ponds, the playground, the play fountains, and my daughter took part in a children's cooking course which they adapted for her being vegetarian. The the gardens are lovely. The beach is down quite a few steps but well worth it, what a stunning beach! I didn't try any of the restaurants.

We had the great pleasure to stay in an ocean front, ground floor apartment (2 BR) in mid October. We had booked a garden view apartment but they gave us a free upgrade, which was really nice. The first thing I want to mention is how exceptionally friendly and professional the staff was. Everyone of our requests was met rapidly! Everyone was incredibly kind and polite. I would like to mention especially the staff at the apartment reception, at the spa, the room maid, and I had a very fortunate experience with housekeeping support, when I had a "complication" with my car. Thankyou again for your help and a BIG compliment to all staff. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. I only missed an electric water kettle for my tea. Coffee machine was with filter, not a capsule machine, which we liked. Huge fridge w. freezer. The view from the master bedroom and terrace was stunning. No sound but the ocean waves! It was just a walk out the security gate and on to the fabulous giant beach. Lovely shells and very clean. We were told the south of Spain was having kind of a cold spell, the wind was fresh and envigorating. The hotel grounds were kept immaculate and the pools very clean. The outside pools were too cold for me but there´s always the indoor pool in the spa which was lovely. The outdoor pools all had life guards on duty. Sleep quality was exceptional. As I found the matresses a bit hard, reception had housekeeping bring all of us toppers within minutes and I slept even better than at home. :-) Very comfortable beds, also considering two of our party are 6´5" ( 1.9m) tall. Wonderfully equipped bathrooms as well. Lovely hot water. We took advantage of the fitnessc center . Very well equipped. We did not have the time to go to any of the restaurants of the premises. You can ask reception any time for recommendations. We had a rental car to get around and a personal parking spot assigned to us in the building garage. I can highly recommend going to Vejer de la Frontera, lovely white village. We also went to the Mar y Monte reaturant and had a wonderful steak dinner. Free Wifi was great in our apartment. I can highly recommend staying at the Aparthotel Novo Resort and we will certainly return. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

We had a three bedroom apartment which was huge! Very well equipped and nicely decorated and furnished. It was great having the space and privacy whilst having the full use of the hotel services and grounds. We've stayed in some great hotels over the years but the grounds of the Barcelo are the prettiest we've seen. Beautifully landscaped and felt like a real oasis. There was a good choice of pools, none of which were ever busy and there was no issue with getting a subbed (bliss!).
The hotel is probably 90% Spanish guests (at least) and we decided that this was why there wasn't an issue with sun beds. The Spanish get up much later (most weren't heading to the pool until at least mid day) and stay up much later, as a result the restaurants aren't busy either until 10pm ish.
Staff were friendly and helpful, food was delicious, bar service efficient.
All in all we couldn't fault this hotel and will definitely return.

There are 5 outdoor pools, one adults only. The pools are not heated, only by the sun, so end of day always warmer. There is an indoor pool with jacuzzi that is free to use and also a spa that you can pay to use, but I'm not sure kids are allowed in there. The indoor pool is shallow if I recall. Think about waist to chest deep on an me and I'm 5'3. It's about a width of normal swimming pool long and half width wide.
Apartments are lovely and luxurious. Didn't stay in hotel so can't comment on rooms in there.
A lovely resort and will definately return. Enjoy if you choose to go here.
