Hipotels Barrosa Palace is a hotel accommodation that more than met our expectations of a ***** hotel that, together with three other hotels from the same group, is implanted in a very well-kept and well-maintained park zone with lots of greenery. The beach is easily accessible from the hotel via a path (part gravel, part wood). Hygiene is nowhere an empty concept in this hotel.
We were welcomed in a very friendly manner at the reception. All the desk staff we found there the next few days were very accessible, approachable and helpful. Throughout our stay we met a very friendly and spontaneous team of hotel staff, at all levels and departments.
The hotel is very stylishly furnished, both the common areas (lobby, restaurant, bar...) and the rooms. On the indoor terrace of our room we could enjoy a sea view. The outdoor area has also been designed with great attention to detail; we enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing holiday time. The greenery, the swimming area, the walkways, the swimming pool with its easily accessible hygienic accommodations (toilets, shower...) they were always very well looked after thanks to the daily attention of the maintenance team. At any time of the day we found a spot by the pool and had no desire to participate in the ritual of “morning-towel-laying” of some other hotel guests...
The rich breakfast buffet invited you to long dinners in the morning sun. There was plenty of space to eat in a quiet way. The restaurant team acted quickly, accurately and kindly. We enjoyed all our meals on the spacious covered terrace, at carefully laid tables (morning and evening always with cloth tablecloths and ditto napkins). Every evening a rich and varied buffet awaited us with a very wide choice of vegetables, meat and fish. The presentation of the individual appetizers (glasses, plates, large platters...) revealed that there was a creative and professional team working in the kitchen. As lovers of fish, we could choose every day from different types of fish prepared à la minute by the ‘great chef’ himself A La Plancha. A wine list with a wide variety of affordable, mainly Spanish wines made it easy for us to choose a good bottle every night. The dessert buffet with a range of beautiful sweet creations was usually our preference. Cheese lovers found something to their liking in an extensive cheese buffet.
Hipotels Barrosa Palace is a hotel where we will return.

The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, you can walk for miles. We spoke to someone who has been coming to the hotel for 17 years and thinks the renovation was just as successful as we did. Apparently there were problems with service and food when it opened in May 23, but these have now been completely resolved. We had a very quiet room with a side sea view, firm but extremely comfortable beds, well-functioning air conditioning and a spacious bathroom. The half-board is highly recommended, there is a large, varied buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The grill station, where you can have various types of fresh fish and meat grilled, is particularly noteworthy. There are also plenty of salads and vegetables, as well as a lot of different fresh fruit for breakfast. When the dining room was renovated, particular attention was paid to soundproofing, so that the noise level is generally bearable, even for the hard of hearing. Overall, many guests dress smartly, but no one looked at us strangely when we came to breakfast in shorts after a morning walk on the beach. Next time I would take a nice dress or two and sandals with me for dinner. The pool area is very nice, there are enough loungers. The hotel has direct access to the beach via a wooden path, which is not a given in this location. We found the friendliness of all the staff in every area particularly amazing and pleasant. The fitness room is well equipped and cooled with its own towels and water. There are fitness classes several times a day. We rented a small car from Albitana for a few days because it was much cheaper there and visited Cadiz, Conil and Vejer and saw lots of beautiful places. Parking spaces outside the door were sometimes limited, the underground car park costs twelve euros a day, which we used. It was a wonderfully relaxing holiday! We would love to come back!

After two years and a complete renovation, the hotel and rooms shine in new splendor. The rooms are now comfortable and up to date. The excellent, individual service has remained the same, always friendly and courteous. Arriving in the morning is no problem: please go to breakfast (invited), we will prepare your room, leaving early is no problem, you can also have breakfast at 6:45. In summary: professional hospitality at the highest level.

Since the check in the staff is very attentive and helpful, explain very well schedules and location of amenities. The rooms are very spacious and super comfortable, there were 3 and the extra bed could not invade space because of the spaciousness of the room. Breakfast and dinner buffet are completely worth it and at noon eat in the super comfortable snack pool bar and decent enough prices to be a hotel of this category. A varied menu and even with vegan dishes. The Aqua-gym was great with Paula and Sarah, they make the class super lively and are greatly enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you both:) Tuesday’s Venezuelan singer was a passerby, Joshua; what a way to interpret and live Latin music and English hits. Already from the dining area outside at dinner it was striking. Thanks to all the staff for being so close and friendly, feel one at home.

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days, immediately after the reopening in May 2023. We had booked a junior suite with a sea view and we really liked the room's (not very spectacular but very cozy) furnishings, location, balcony and view. It was a first occupancy, so to speak, so everything was brand new. The room service was fine, apart from the fact that someone dropped my sunglasses while cleaning and the frame broke. The broken glasses were put back in their original place. The problem could have been solved differently. But I didn't say anything, the glasses had cost maybe 10 euros. We didn't use the pool area, but we used the gym, which was still under construction, every day. The equipment wasn't new, but in perfect condition and the equipment in the fitness area was great. There was even a barbell (bonus). We had booked and used half board. I was impressed by the buffet and the selection of the live kitchen. As a lover of fish and seafood, I had a nice selection every evening. They were prepared carefully and I also liked the other dishes on offer. Breakfast was also plentiful and good. The coffee, on the other hand, but well, it's Spain. The service in the restaurant was also impeccable. The waiter's wine recommendations were spot on. We had talked about wines for a few minutes on the second day. After that, he was able to assess my taste correctly. Overall, the staff were attentive but not pushy. The not-so-young guests mostly came from Germany and were used to speaking German. That's no problem here. I didn't notice any negative consequences (keyword: "people speak German").
We had a rental car. But a car is not absolutely necessary here. There is a bus stop a few meters from the hotel and you can also do smaller purchases in the small shopping center nearby.

Very good resort hotel with access to a magnificent beach , welcome glass of bubbly on arrival , we booked a standard room direct with hotel but requested a top floor sea view room and this exactly what we were allocated at an exceptional price . Rooms was spacious with more clothes space then normal these days . Nice pool with good value pool & beach bar / restaurant . The majority of the guests appeared to be German (and elderly) which might explain the total lack of English spoken by staff which was unusual , not sure if the Brits have discovered this coast yet . I would not recommend the hotel for families with children (very few children were staying ) . Local restaurants were not to our taste so we decided to stick with the Buffet for both breakfast and dinner , breakfast was ok but it took me 3 days to discover that fried eggs & bacon was cooked to order which seemed rather strange . The dinner buffet however we thought was below average , the single roast meat choice was a cheap cut of meat imo , again steaks / fish etc were cooked to order which resulted in mass of people queueing , there has to be a better system . In response to a previous review i would clarify that you do not pay extra for a sunbed only the Bali beds which is standard in hotels as are car parking fees .Overall we had a good holiday at reasonable price but is it a 5 star resort , probably not . We may try the Iberostar next year .

Firstly, the advertising that comes out when you book on the official website, the one "choose the number of the room you want to be" has the fine print "depending on availability", which in my case, was not available. They gave me another room of the same type, but in the area I just didn't feel like it. But well, I have to say that the room surprised me positively without knowing how it would have been the one I had chosen. The hotel is a 5 star hotel with no valet parking but a baggage service for both Check-in and Check-out. Very friendly and helpful staff, with welcome details at reception and in the room, at least those with the private pool. Spacious and modern room, the bed very comfortable; the bathroom has a bathtub and 2 sinks, and divided into two "mini-rooms", in one the shower and in the other a toilet and a bidet. The water pressure of the shower is loose and the gels of the bathtub and shower unfilled. Comment on the ugly detail that you are picking up the room to leave and already on the screen appears the name of the next customer when it is not yet time to leave the room. The private pool in the room is 1.10m deep and what I did not like is the lack of privacy of that area, as those in the hotel opposite see you and vice versa. The spa comes in free with this type of room and is quite complete. The hotel also has an indoor pool. The somewhat small outdoor pool, does not have a "ramp" to access and only covers something in the central part. The buffet restaurant, at dinner, although there was less variety than we usually found in other lower category hotels, the food was exquisite. I liked the live cooking that you choose the meat or fish you want to consume and they make it to you immediately, although it forms queue. I have to say that on the first night we sat at a table with dead bugs on the floor and in one of the chairs, we realized within a few minutes, although we did not say anything, but they are details that in a 5-star hotel looks ugly. At breakfast, also buffet, well more or less varied. I was surprised that the bread wasn’t cut, everyone took the same bread and cut it to taste. The pool restaurant for lunch, on the other hand, I can't say the same. Although the prices are not really expensive, trying the food no longer compensates. The fried squid lacked the grace you find in any bar on the coast, and breaded steaks that looked and tasted like they had been frozen. Both nights there was a live performance of singers in English. Very good location next to the beach

Well, we started the stay at La Barrosa Palace well and ended it happier if possible. The staff is excellent, that is the first thing to highlight. The room very, very nice. The chiringuito's music comes but you can't hear it at bedtime. Inside the hotel there is free parking (also for a fee) but it is not guaranteed to meet us at the start of the summer season. The management of the hotel, very attentive, has provided us with a place. Good breakfast buffet. Variety and phenomenal attention. Good sea views but this year we do not see the sunset from the room. It is advisable to apply for the West Wing. You can't have everything. Don't shoot the pianist, but... Alfredo Kraus said that the only music he liked eating was the sound of cutlery and what reason he had. At breakfast the piano is left over because the sound of the place is bad. Everything's clean, nice. Green ideas. From the room I see that they have converted some flat roofs into a garden of plants adapted to dryness. More than once I look at this plant cover than at the sea. I don’t know if it’s company policy or we’re in preseason but there’s no hustle and bustle, there’s always a quiet space to be, none of that incessant back and forth, always someone watching over you...one enjoyed. Reading on the terrace of the bar, ground floor, I get the song of crickets from the inner garden. Must be a recording. But no, they're crickets! In the pool bar you eat well but the rations are somewhat scarce. The machacona music of the beach bar becomes tiresome especially if you are in the pool To repeat

There are no longer any fixed seats at dinner - this means that at 7 p.m. sharp there is a rush for the seats, like in a cheap hotel. In the evening, the evening program at the bar is so loud that you can no longer have a conversation and you can't sleep in the rooms before 10:30 p.m. Why they use an amplifier in a small bar is completely inexplicable to us and other guests. Next time we will go to the Melia on the same beach for a real 5-star level with fixed seating in the evening.

We have been going to this hotel for several years and after the renovation they have carried out, the rooms have been magnificent. To this we must add the privileged location and the excellent treatment that we have been given at all times both at reception and in the restaurant services and cleaning service. We will return for sure!
