A discovery that in a hotel you eat well and that the rooms are isolated enough so that not a single noise bothers you. Part of that peace of mind is provided by the room cleaners, not a single voice, super friendly, what a good selection. Then it is a pleasure to find so much vegetation, it makes the stay a true joy. A not very pleasant detail is seeing the amount of patches of grass under many hammocks, getting mud on your feet. It doesn't matter that it was August and there were a lot of people. On this same date we went to another Hotel from the same chain āAsia Gardensā and the grass was impeccable; typical of a five-star hotel. Extraordinary is the attention of many hotel professionals, such as all the Miniclub staff, the dedication has been maximum. A ten for them for how they do it. A very small ābutā; Peppa Pig's costume needs an overhaul, if not a total change. Another ābutā, this one is big, is the parking. It is not included in the reservation price. Depending on where you park it is 30 euros or 35 euros if it is underground.

Already the second time in this hotel as it was paradise last year. Unfortunately, April is not the best time to go on holiday in this hotel as everything is still a little "sleeping" From 10 pm you won't get a glass of wine to sit comfortably on the balcony!!! Wonderful location for everyone looking for peace. A dreamlike garden area with beautiful manicured plants, many pools and therefore not overcrowded! Magnificent size, great view (this time sea view), very very clean, is checked twice a day if necessary fresh towels are put down. Bathroom just a dream with perfect size. Everything can be controlled via computer system (curtains, lights, air conditioning)For the most part, the staff are very friendly, but we also had to experience at dinner that we were not perceived as guests at all. We were asked individually about drink requests (the first got his drink, then one remembered that there was another person sitting at the table who might also want to drink something). Also, the staff was occasionally more concerned with themselves and colleagues than taking care of the guest. Fits somehow not quite in a 5 star hotel!!!!Breakfast... very good! Great selection, freshly squeezed O-juice, vital grains with freshly prepared smoothies Dinner: last year was much better. What is nice is that there is a barbecue area where you can choose whether you want meat or fish. With the fish alone, there are always 4 different varieties, which you can observe when grilling. The rest of the evening buffet unfortunately very often cold!!!!! Great salad selectionYes Low season was somehow always the excuse. In the catalogue there is talk of several bars, evening entertainment, etc. The beautiful Sunset Bar has just been rebuilt (why not do this in closing time is incomprehensible!) Every evening had a location on, however, from 10 p.m. onwards... The piano bar with 2 seated guests, was really not very welcoming in turn (the following day) entertainment in the pub... but no coziness when right next door the bowling balls fly one around the ears. Actually sad, you were always forced to go to the room at 10 p.m. A glass of wine was then nowhere more!!!!

The treatment received by the workers, Ma Carmen at the breakfasts that is a wonder to see her work, not stop, anticipates the needs and already has you prepared until the coffee, is a wonder how she takes care of you and is pending to serve you and to have the table ready and take the dishes .. is a wonder, always with love and with a Pro ten, a true professional. Fran de cuisine, who is always on the lookout also if everything is to your liking or you need something and with the high level of self-demand to continue maintaining the standard of quality and taste, Miguel on the griddle who is a Pro of ten, how well he works and how he takes care of the details before taking out your dish and that it is perfect made and presented maintaining a standard of ten. Pigeon that makes delicious dishes and always asking if you need something you donāt see and taking care and pampering the details of their dishes that are delicious. Ana Bethlehem who is a charmer and is always watching if you need anything. David on the dinner plate, who takes great care and pampers every dish he makes. And Carlos Gil, who has turned my vacation incredible, as a person can make your vacation so special and different, in addition to charming and helpful is a great Pro who proposes a thousand options to solve any incident and proposes wonderful plans and makes you feel super cared for and spoiled, has placed a whole discovery for me since the figure of Guest Experience had never used it, but of course I will need it for future visits, as it implies in all areas of the stay, the same is in reception, as in buffet or in a corridor.... is in EVERYTHING, is wonderful and of course next year I will trust him again for the management of my vacation because it has been the best stay of all those I carry in the hotel.

For me it has been a bit of a disappointment. I know the area perfectly, I have been to another 5 star hotel in the area (Gran MeliĆ” Sancti Petri) and the treatment and details dictate more of a 4 than a 5 star.
To begin with, as soon as you arrive they tell you that there is no space in the outdoor parking and that there is a charge inside (see image with more than 4 spaces available outside, I refer to the facts). The room itself was very nice, ours was Deluxe garden view, but the details make the difference, there is no bathrobe, there are no slippers, there is no conditioner in the bathtub, two bath towels and two hand towels, like any 4-star hotel starsā¦. What's more, at BarcelĆ³ Conil there is a bathrobe and slippers in the room and it is a 4*.
There is an adult pool in which, tranquility is rewarded, a couple arrives with a baby, the lifeguard politely tells them to leave, no matter. The lifeguard notifies his superior, who kindly invites them to go out and the family doesn't even pay attention... So they are left with the baby crying, interfering with the tranquility of the moment in that ADULTS ONLY pool.
We went with half board, which in my opinion, was very good in terms of gastronomy and variety.
We went to celebrate my birthday, in fact that was my gift, my partner put a review and a note and it didn't matter. We were perhaps expecting a detail, the same day, which was yesterday and that we were just staying.
Our surprise was that at the buffet dinner, the lady who served, just asked the ones from before how her birthday was, and as they exchanged words I understand that she was luckier and they paid attention to the room. There is no nice place to watch the magical sunset in Sancti Petri, the view is of some slides and the children's beach club making noise and parents at the bar counter to have a drink while the children are entertained. Honestly, I had gone to the spa on another occasion and I had a pending issue to stay there but the feeling I got is the same one that people criticize here, it is seen that if you pay more, you receive more. As it is.

This 5 star hotel did not have double beds in October or that is what they told us and we paid for it, since we have a baby who sleeps in the middle. The arrangement for this was, on top of the beds there were two foam mattresses that were closed with zippers and the sheets were placed. The bed obviously kept sinking in the middle. Therefore, in terms of rest, I do not recommend it and the reception does not give any help. Otherwise the hotel is great.

Release date 16/09/24 The room and room service fine, which is the only thing and now we start: The pool does not have mats for all guests and the super uncomfortable amacas as you stick in the back of the bar, the hotel is full of very nice but not practical vegetation as you can not sunbathe without having to change places as with so much palm tree you can not be quiet and have to be dragging from your mattress pool to pool so negative point. The food is bad and not of quality of a hotel of this characteristic as I consider that it has a spare Ace. Frozen food, some waitresses at the buffet have given me a lousy treatment for days wishing that they spent the days to leave since they did not return my money if I had left, another negative point. Some days at 7 in the afternoon they made the people who were in the pool because they wanted to clean since the schedule was until 7, take some children at 7 in the afternoon with a sun of justice because they will clean has noses so negative point. We have been charged several charges to the room for things that we have not consumed since they work with some paper notebooks which in the era that we are not receiving, so negative point . Having to wait 30 min for drinks to be brought to the pool hammock when there was no one and to be charged 7.70 for two half liter water cardboard brik is crazy, so negative point. They didn't have meat knives. The truth is that it's been a daily odyssey so I don't advise anyone

Very nice, neat hotel, nice stay, with a few small reservations
The complex and the garden are beautiful, large and you don't feel the fact that the hotel is full.
Certainly the hotel is no longer very new and this is noticeable in the slightly outdated swimming pools and children's facilities, but the entire complex and the rooms are neat and clean!
The rooms are very spacious and a plus: the double door allows you to sleep peacefully without hearing the noise from the corridors!
The buffet meals are varied and taste-wise not bad in itself, but not worthy of a 5 star: the breakfast and the fruits are repetitive and almost everything is industrial, the main dishes of the evening buffets are often greasy and poor in the sauce, but we can't say it's not good. But yes: it doesn't deserve 5 stars, but rather 4!
The prices of drinks are relatively high, and the a la carte restaurants are expensive and not included in the DP offer as an alternative, not even with a limited credit per person... too bad!
Overall: not given price level but great experience all the same

We felt disappointed in this second stay, unfortunately. I list our dissatisfactions, the first of which we will file a complaint with Consumer Affairs: 1. We paid for accommodation and breakfast and when we ordered breakfast in the room they charged us again for breakfast instead of charging us a fee or supplement. This is illegal to charge 2 times for a breakfast and we will officially complain. 2. They didn't have our room ready until 3:00 p.m., after checking in and paying for parking they told us that we have to take the car out of the parking lot upstairs and put it in the interior parking lot, back and forth with the suitcases up and down. . They have a man hired to take down the license plates but they don't have a valet or anyone to help with suitcases. It is a 5 star that makes the client work for them. 3. They have entered our room 3 times, having opened the door and taking us half naked. Once to give us a gift package of salt, which I don't know why they didn't leave it before so as not to disturb us and the other at 11:45 and 12:00 on the morning of check out, putting pressure on us to leave despite check-out being at 12 and check-in at 2:00 p.m. and having given us the room at 3:00 p.m. Everything is fatal.

We were planning our wedding at Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri for May 2025 and had high expectations due to its reputation as a 5-star luxury venue. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by delays, errors, and a lack of professionalism.
Delays in Contract Delivery: It took over five months to receive the contracts for the wedding and guest accommodations, despite multiple visits to the hotel in June, July, and September 2024.
Errors in the Contracts: The contracts contained numerous mistakes, including miscalculations of costs, incorrect guest numbers, and room reservations for only two nights instead of the requested multiple nights. Our wedding suite was listed as a "Deluxe Double Room" instead of the repeatedly requested suite with a sea view.
Lack of Transparency: Despite repeated inquiries, we were told to "trust the process" and that the issues would be resolved. Unfortunately, we did not see concrete results.
Cancellation Suggestion: On December 12, 2024, just five months before our wedding, the hotel suggested we look for another venue.
The communication was handled directly by a senior staff member, the Sales Manager (Jefe de Ventas), who we felt was unable to provide clear solutions. When we escalated the situation and sought to involve a higher authority, we were contacted by the Area Director of BarcelĆ³ Hotels CĆ”diz, who offered the same resolution as the Sales Manager, with the addition of a complimentary stay in the repeatedly requested suite.
We felt that this offer did not adequately address the financial and emotional challenges we experienced. At that point, we decided to terminate further discussions as we no longer felt taken seriously as customers, and this further eroded our trust in the process.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and stressful, especially given the hotel's reputation. While we understand challenges can arise, we expected much more professionalism and clearer communication from a venue of this caliber.
We hope this feedback encourages the hotel to improve its services, communication, and respect for clients, especially those planning such an important event.

Royal Hideaway: Sancti Petri is a hybrid operation of a Convention Centre and Hotel and the Meeting Rooms for the Convention Centre are located in the central core of the hotel. The effect is that the hotel feels that it is half-closed all of the time. Further, the bars that service the Convention Centre are listed as part of the facilities for the hotel but they never open because the Convention Centre is closed. The Buffet Restaurant is also located in the central area and if you wished to have a pre-dinner chat and a drink, the choice is yomp down a hill to a bar near the beach (and then an uphill return for dinner) or descend down about 30 steps to the Dublin Bay Pub. The Dublin Bay Pub is a windowless room with MTV blaring from various televisions plus four lanes of American Bowl in the middle of the Pub? The noise is not exactly conducive with a quiet chat and a drink before dinner. Neither option was attractive and the other bars were closed. The same options apply after dinner of course.
On the night that we arrived (2nd September 2024) I went to Reception to ask why everything appeared closed and to enquire if there was any other option to go for a chat and a drink. I was told that they could call a taxi to take us into town. We went back to the room and looked in the mini-bar and found a couple of beers, (no wine - in Spain?) but there was a small bottle of champagne. I looked around but the only available glasses were bathroom glasses. The champagne remained uncorked. We went out and purchased a bottle of wine locally only to return and find that the room didnāt have a corkscrew (in Spain?). We gave up.
The room was small but adequate; the only real issue was the very limited wardrobe space. I can only assume that the Hotel was designed with the Convention Centre in mind with wardrobe space for delegates on short stays. Tea making facilities were provided but only one teabag (Iām not a fan of herbal infusions)? So, we tossed a coin to see who had the morning cuppa. Initially, I lost until it was discovered that the only milk was powdered. I havenāt seen powdered milk in a hotel room since the 1980ās.
There were numerous other issues, but in summary, the holiday was booked on the strength of the hotel claiming to be 5-star under a decent brand name; Barcelo. The reality is that the holiday fell well short of our expectations. It was indeed pretty poor and certainly not 5-star.
In future, Barcelo: Barcel-NO!

Response from Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri
Responded Sep 28, 2024
Dear Alancz, We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay at the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri. We regret to hear that the atmosphere and availability of our bars did not meet your expectations. Our selection of bars, including La ZumerĆa, The Dublin Bay, and our Sunset Cocktails & More, are designed to cater to a variety of preferences, and we're disappointed that we missed the mark for your visit. We acknowledge your disappointment regarding the evening options for a pre-dinner drink. The Dublin Bay Pub is meant to offer a lively ambiance with entertainment options, yet we understand that it may not be to everyone's taste. Addressing your room's amenities, we equip our rooms with a selection of beverages in the mini-bar, and while we do offer a variety of glasses and a corkscrew upon request, we regret any oversight in providing these in your room promptly. We understand that details such as these are important and we're sorry for any frustration this caused. Lastly, we deeply regret that your overall perception of our hotel did not live up to the prestigious BarcelĆ³ brand and the five-star standards we strive to uphold. Please accept our apologies for any aspect of your stay that detracted from the quality and enjoyment we wish to provide every guest. We hope that you will return in the future for a more enjoyable stay. Kindest regards, Guest Experience Team
