chacala is a nice little mexican village, with a great beach to walk & swim!! there are 6-8 places to eat on the beach, with plenty of beer & drinks & chairs to sit & watch the ocean!! the bay is great for swimming , you can rent a paddle board or a kayak, for a hour or two!!

This is a sweet little, locally-run place. Lapita, the manager, is warm and informative, and helped me recover the jacket I had left behind, The rooms are very clean, as are the available kitchen area and pool. Security is good, including gated on-site parking. And it's really inexpensive. My only complaint is that it's time to replace the pillows.

My wife and I spent a very relaxing week at the Casa Chacala. The small hotel is a block up from downtown Chacala (which consists of two short blocks along the beach). All the rooms are clean, comfortable, and have a wonderful view of the town and the ocean. There is a common kitchen available on the main floor which we... More

One block and a small hill up from the beach, this small hotel is welcoming and comfortable. The staff were kind and accommodating, the room had a sunset-side balcony big enough for a card game, and the pool was a refreshing dip after a day in the waves.

Chacala is so small that I had a hard time trying to get ahold of places to stay. We are very glad Casa Chacala came through. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. I think we were the only people staying there for several days so we were able to keep a few dishes in our room for breakfast. The... More

My gf and i stayed here about three weekends ago. Very cozy location with a view to the beach (1 block away), very confy bed with a mini fridge handy and a balcony for town viewing (clean room too). Walking distance from camping area and restaurants. Do be careful with one possible concern, they have solar panels heating their water... More

Hotel Casa Chacala was our base when my husband and I explored Chacala about a week ago. The owners are laid-back and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and happy. Anna (a wonderful grounds-keeper who lives across the road) was great! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and you could hear the ocean waves... More

This hotel is CLEAN!!! Seriously, I can't remember being in such a clean room when staying in a hotel anywhere. Lupita was a superhero - running and cleaning the hotel solo during our stay but she was always available, approachable and extremely helpful. Service at this hotel is superb and comes with a smile! The rooms are a good size,... More

A friend recommended this hotel. I went with suspicion, but I got a pleasant surprise. The hotel is clean and has air conditioning. The staff is very friendly. The price is very affordable. It is near the beach where there are restaurants serving fresh fish.
