I'm a returning guest, Punta Maracayo is one of my favorite hotels. It has a great coffe shop on the 2nd floor and a nice restaurant (Menta) on the 3rd Floor. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The pool and grounds are well maintained, and their nightly rates are better than other hotels in the area that will cost more and will offer less for your money. However, on Friday and Saturday nights most of the times there are outdoor activities taking place with loud music till 1 or 2 AM. I personally would avoid those two nights. But for people who stay up late and don't mind the loud music it may be ok. What I do is, if staying in the area longer than a week, book the stay from Monday thru Friday and return on Sunday to avoid staying those two nights.

I booked my wedding party at Punta Maracayo and at first the booking started off a bit rough. Booking wedding party groups should be clear and concise and all front desk personnel could use some training on being on the same page with bookings. Thank you to Iris who was always very helpful over the phone and gave excellent customer service.

With that said, during our stay the entire hotel staff was excellent! I was really impressed with the customer service towards all of my wedding guests. We had a lot of fun during our stay. The pool was clean and the suites and rooms were beautiful! The 2nd floor restaurants and pool bar were excellent. Shout out to the owner who is awesome. The hotel also accommodated all of my guests in the lobby while we waited for rain to pass on our wedding day. This hotel is located in the perfect area near several restaurants and stores. Many of my friends and family said they would stay here again. Thank you for a great weekend 👍🏼

My Brother and I stay here often and the staff is really nice, the jacuzzi ever works, to take a bath you need to wait 20 minutes for the water to get hot, on weekends the second floor gets crowded becouse there is a bar and people that is not staying at the resort are all over the place, the ice machine never works and two of the times we had stayed the air conditioner didnt work properly. For the price is good I guess but they never have late check-out and the pool is always freezing cold. They don't have rooms with two separate beds, all the rooms have only one bed and the wifi is very limited, you need to go to the lobby or to the second floor to be able to use the Internet. Besides that the rooms are clean only once we found a dirty towel in the bathroom and cat poop at the front door. But the staff is awesome and very friendly.

Quit recommending Parador Del Buen Cafe to people! They are horrible! They put unsuspecting people in a second building which was not built as a hotel, it is a dump. No daytime manager, no nighttime maintenance person, when the toilet clogs up, they hand you a plunger! Stop recommending them.

We had breakfast from the second floor coffee shop al fresco dining area at the hotel. The view was lovely and the light breeze made for a perfect brunch! The staff were amazing and the service excellent...I ordered medium coffee, it was frothy and delicious, we also ordered the waffle breakfast sandwich which was mouthwatering and so filling! They even accommodated our daughters special order of fruit with a waffle... Very tasty, very well priced, I highly recommend!

This is the nastiest place I've ever stayed in. The rooms are dirty, sliding door without lock, bathroom with mols in the shower curtain, rudest staff. The cafeteria on the 2nd floor - not part of the "resort" is great. Left sick. No security, the 2nd floor rooms are open to the people that go at night to drink and party, music very loud that wont let you sleep. HORRIBLE experience.

I love this place! I grew up in this town and this place has had extensive renovations in the past decade. I had my wedding reception here and we booked almost the entire hotel for the weekend. The staff were extremely helpful in helping me to set this up over the course of a year with many changes in the guest list. The bar by the pool has excellent mojitos (my friends from the US want to go back just for these!) I stayed in one of the two suites which were clean, comfortable bedding and plenty of space for all the bridal activities. I hope to come back just to spend time at the pool with a mojito in my hand. Oh and lets not forget that there is a stunning beach 5 minutes away (Playa Sardinera). Thank you to all the staff that were so kind to us and helped make my big day that much smoother!

First time staying with them and the Government of Hatillo, Manager Rosalie and all the Staff have a great thing going here! Fabulous location, steps from the beach and a 3-minute drive to fast food places, local restaurants and a shopping center. For those who lounge like us ( came for the fishing), the place have Vaca PĂşrpura coffee shop, Viva Lounge tapas and wines and what I consider the best restaurant in PR, Menta Pelagic Cuisine. Booked another stay during checkout!

This small hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. Very attentive and friendly staff. The huge pool. Parking gratis. Both the restaurant, the bar and the coffee business excellent and with very good prices.
I recommend it for couples, and friends trips. It has many points of interest and businesses nearby that you can visit.

The hotel was pleasant and I had no complaints, until the front desk over charged me by one day. When I protested, they realized the error, then told me they not run the charge again to correct the same and to ONLY two options were: (1) they would give me a free day (Yeah, my flights leaves in three hours!); or I could wait for them to "write out a check from the Municipal Government (the hotel is owned by the City government), and it would take three weeks! Well, its not October 16! I called and they tell me "what, we don' t have no such record, etc", though I have a receipt and document from the front desk. I tried to communicate with someone over the telephone regarding my demand for repayment of the day they charged me. .. still waiting! DONT CHARGE, PAY CASH. .............and the m oral of this story, NEVER, EVER, TAKE ONE'S WORD.... I haven't learned learned that lesson, but you can. Hence, make sure the front desk is charging for the exact day.s. I wonder if they are pocketing the extra charges?!!!! Hummmm

They only provide this very small coffee machine for your first night. Definitely not a Keurig, don't bring pods. The Brasas Restaurant is good for a good morning cup of coffee, but its very expensive for dinner, but hey, you're on vacation, I tried it the first night. I brought my own coffee and filters, the small ones. A really nice restaurant thats reasonable and you can enjoy the PR ambiance and good food is in Hatillo, you would make a right at the resorts entrance (west), its called El Truco de Guin. Also, it's weird, but we really enjoyed the Dennys in Arecibo, they have ocean front seating. In the evening a really cool full service bar in their ocean front seating area. Enjoy!
