We stayed for an entire week in August 2014 in Malapascua, and the cheapest option we found was Daño houses. When in the Pines you read Resort, don't take it wrong, it can only be just few simple one room houses spread in a small area. They have something like small cottages for two or three, with bathroom inside. Furniture...

We spend a week there last November. After checking the cheapest places in the island we decided to stay at Daño and pay the little difference. All their rooms are very simple but clean and they change your bed clothes and towels every time you ask for it. Beach front rooms with fan. Some have sdouble bed some have 2...

Stayed for 3 nights at Daño because I did the advanced open water course at Devocean (want to dive? Read my review of them!). I got a hut closest to the beach (Photo's from my porch at sunrise) and located farthest away from the local homes inland (where the roasters crows 24/7). The hut itself was not nice but since...

Stayed here for3 nights in May. Was diving with evolution who are very good. The hotel is basic as hell. Reception didn't take our passports on check in, our room was basic but was as close to the sea as you can get on the island, no air con available but 2 fans worked well during the night. The shower...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend, and we managed to bargain the price down to 900 peso per night for a beach bungalow (right next to the beach). As there are no ATMs on the island and we were short on cash, we could unfortunately not stay here longer. The room was very nice with mosquito-nets on...

We stayed for 2 nights in Dano beach resort. First of all, the cottage is really on the beach, has an old world charm, is comfortable and has aircon. Unfortunately all air con cottages have only single beds (why? I wonder...), so after some naughty teasing, me and my wife joined our beds. Good.... 1) The air con was good,...

Yes this place is on the beach but cheap it isn't . 1200 pesos and the rooms are dirty, noisy and the bed linen is filthy. We woke up with no water and the toilet didn't work. We are back packers so if it was cheap we wouldn't have cared but 1200 is very expensive and not worth the money....
