This is my second visit to this charming chateau. Set in beautiful grounds the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing , and the atmosphere relaxed. It is very dog friendly my dog was very welcome and the chateau's own dogs were friendly but no trouble. The owners are extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble....

This review is 5 years in the making but my wife and I had an amazing stay at this tremendously beautiful chateau. A great place to rest a night between Loire Valley and Normandy. Very welcoming owner - a man who cares for the graves of fallen soldiers in Normandy. Lots of history at this wonderful chateau. A delicious breakfast...

We found this hotel through Smith & Family. I can completely see how if you were stopping off on your way south from the UK, this might be a nice place to stay for a night or two, but we stayed for a week which I think was a mistake with a small child. The grounds are large and lovely...

I found the iron gated entrance to the walled Chateau St. Paterne. The chateau was run and renovated by the family who inherited it - it is lovely inside and out with loads of surprises in the farm buildings out the back and had huge grounds and forests for wandering in. I was greeted and shown to my room in...

This is a magnificently appointed hotel. each room is decorated with interesting furniture and beautiful fabrics. The public rooms on the first floor are warm and inviting for a drink before dinner or after the days activities. Our room was large and we loved the decor. The bathroom was funky , but had both a shower and an old fashioned...

There are many excellent Hotels in France but none like this. On arrival one has the immediate impression that it is a lived in Chateau and you are welcomed as a member of the family. We arrived on a quiet day and were immediately offered an upgraded room. It was very spacious with elegant furnishings and a walk-in shower room...

Stopped on my way through France, very welcoming and dog friendly. Nice rooms with en suite and very helpful hosts. Nice atmosphere with aperitif on the terrace and then the meal which was fabulous . Definitely one to go back to. Beautiful building and garden and not far from the motorway so easy to find.

On arrival just managed to squeeze car through gates to see a very impressive building with lovely large car park. We were greeted warmly and shown the facilities and our rooms. The rooms are quirkily furnished and quite spacious. Unfortunately our friends room had just had the floor polished which brought up some allergies. This was dealt with very speedily...

Stayed here for one night on our way back to Calais and absolutely loved this place! The chateau is picture perfect and the room (Henry IV room) was not only steeped in history but was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. We had a balcony overlooking the grounds, which was an added bonus. Dinner is an...

Beautifully appointed and decorated chateau - wonderful staff and lovely couple of proprietors who also live at the chateau. Breakfast and dining very good and always served with a smile. Good value for money. For couples as well as families. Really recommend.
