Stayed at Hotel El Tapatio and Resort while visiting Mexico for a 12 day road trip. This hotel was comfortable: amenities were outdated but functional (i.e. had hot water, but the plumbing was not perfect). The rooms felt oversized and poorly decorated (renovations would truly help this). My main complaint is that the wifi did not work for the evening...

This hotel had beautiful views of the city, giant rooms, excellent pool/grounds, competent staff, and was easy to find. That said, it is badly in need of renovations. The furnishings look cheap and poorly fit the large rooms clearly designed for a different era. The bed is uncomfortable and most of the space in the room is very poorly used-...

My family and I decided to spend the weekend at this place but it wasn't nice.😆 The restaurant Los Laureles was the worst ever! The food was salty, the fish was raw, the service was bad and too slow (2 hours). The room was so so, the wi fi signal sucks, the pool is dirty and cold. The hotel is...

This is my 3rd stay at El Tapatio. It is a one night stopover on our way to Costa Rica. In its heyday, this hotel was the most luxurious in the city of Guadalajara. The views are spectacular, the rooms spacious but a little faded. Our room is $36 USD. It is a great place to stay.

My husband had stayed here years ago and has always wanted to take me. The pictures truly need to be updated. The rooms are old and the smell is bad. The air conditioning doesn't work well, asked 2 times to have checked and no one came. The pool was dirty, would not even get in it. They really need some...
