Amazing 7 night stay at petinos beach

Location: it’s situated steps from the beach where there are lots of bars and restaurants. There are also 2 mini markets selling basics, a bakery and a pizza shop within 2 mins walking distance. It is also right next to the bus stop which takes you directly into Mykonos town in 10 mins for €1.80. Taxis are really expensive (£20 into town) so the bus was a god send for us!
It is also walking distance to SantAnna, Scorpios and Nammos. So if you want to visit these places you’ll save a fortune on transport. We did visit Zuma @ cavo tago one evening and they arranged us a private taxi there and back which was perfect!

Facilities: the pool is basic and there aren’t many sunbeds but with so many amazing beaches we didn’t use the pool area that much but when we did it was always clean and tidy.

Room: we had an executive double room with jacuzzi bath. It was SPOTLESS and was cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. It was however a bit dated but we didn’t mind as we didn’t spend much time in the room. We had a large balcony with a direct on sea view which was gorgeous!

Staff: the staff really make petinos. It is attached to two restaurants blue myth (where you have breakfast) and Thea (we had lunch here a couple of times while at the pool) all the restaurant staff, the reception staff. Basically just everyone is so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to mike in reception who ordered us a dominos pizza when we arrived back on the bus after a few (too many) cocktails in Mykonos town and realised all the food places had closed early due to COVID. Also thank you to Voula dionisis and Anastasia in reception and Eve in the blue myth restaurant who supplied us with the best iced coffees at breakfast every day!

Thank you everyone for making our stay amazing and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am Greek living in the US and know that the 5 start rating in my country does not always deliver on what foreign travelers are used to. Petinos Beach is NOT one of those times. The hotel delivers on all fronts. From amenities, to views, to staff, to quality of the food. What stands out the most are the restaurant prices which are reasonable given the location and the kindness and attention to detail from the staff. Special props to Voula at the front desk who really stood out to us! The breakfast buffet was fantastic, as is their Blue Myth restaurant. Since I am writing this during Covid-19, worth noting that the hotel is following all the restrictions rigorously as far as indoor mask wearing, cleaning etc...Consider the larger rooms if you can. Lastly, shout out to Yalo Yalo which is another beautiful restaurant on the beach with great owners, food and prices.

The Petinos Beach Hotel is a lovely place.
The building itself looks beautiful, in the typical Aegean style. The location is perfect, as you can walk directly from the pool of the hotel to the wonderful beach of Platys Gialos; it only takes a few seconds.
We had a Harmony Suite (for 2 adults and 2 children) which was well equipped and kept very clean at all times.
The included breakfast offers anything you could ask for (pastries, short breads, fruit, sausages, etc). The only little downside is the drinking water: you have to get it from the buffet in tiny glasses and it is quite warm. Having a water pitcher (with ice) on each table would be a lot more convenient.
I'm saving the best for last, i.e. the staff of the Petinos Beach. They are all extremely nice and helpful, making sure you get the best of your stay in Mykonos. In particular, we'd like to thank Voula from reception who took great care of us and is always so friendly.
All in all, if you look for a special place to stay in Mykonos, the Petinos Beach is a great option.

We booked a last minute getaway to Mykonos, the absolute best decision was booking at Petinos Beach Hotel! The hotel is gorgeous, clean, contemporary and just perfect. The location is even better, many beaches and restaurants are at a walking distance so you aren’t dependent on having to take taxis anywhere if you don’t want to. The bus stop is around 10metres up the road. The room was absolutely gorgeous, we had so much space and it felt really luxurious. The wonderful Petinos Beach reception team was the best, they were so friendly, had the best suggestions and catered those to what we were looking for and what they thought was best. Nothing was ever too much for them, they helped with everything! We booked last minute and around this time as we were looking to relax and unwind, you could notice it was quieter (also due to Covid) and this is just what we were looking for. Thank you, this trip was unreal thanks to this hotel!!
Big hug, hope to see you next year - Georgia and Lili from room 207!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel to try a different part of the island. It is a nice hotel in a great location right on the beach.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The room had great views of the sea and was clean.

We did experience 2 issues. The first is that the room had no soundproofing at all that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. We could hear everything within the hallway leading to the room and our neighbours talking.

The second is that the hotel allowed an intoxicated guest to check in at 4 AM in the morning next door to our room and check out a few hours later that morning. During this entire time, the guest was extremely loud and we had to call the reception on multiple occassions, which didn't appear to work as the guest was allowed to continue to be loud til around 7am. Safe to say we got zero sleep this night.

Given we were unable to sleep on the first night, we did request a discount for the first night, which was provided by the hotel.

In terms of the location, Platis Gialos is a nice cove and has a great beach with plenty of dining options. For us personally though, it is not the ideal location as it feels very "resorty".

I stayed for three nights at Petinos beach hotel and all of the staff were welcoming and hospitable. Voula and Dionysis who always went above and beyond to help. The room was very clean and comfortable, lovely sea view from the balcony and the beach is only a few metres from the beach with the most beautiful light blue water.

As for the hotel’s restaurant - blue myth - fabulous food. The wait staff were always lovely and this is where we had breakfast in the mornings which is amazing too. From the hotel it’s a short bus ride into the town but it’s the perfect location near the hotel for a more relaxing holiday as it is more chilled out than being in Mykonos town. I will definitely be back!!

Eleni, the manager was very nice and friendly and accommodating. My Junior Suite was brilliant and I fell asleep to the sound of the waves. I suggest the suites as it is a bit more private and with a wonderful view. The location of the hotel was fantastic with a few steps to the restaurant and beach. There is also a bus stop outside with a bus going every hour for EUR 1.80 to various beaches or the town of Mykonos.
I'll definitely visit again. Just note that with Covid, everyone is trying their best so not everything works perfectly, e.g. someone dishes in for you at the buffet to limit contact.

We had a lovely sea view apartment on the first floor. The hotel location is perfect next to a beautiful beach. Be careful when renting the sunbeds because at DK beach restaurant they offer it for free, but they charge you for drinks way too much - a glass of prosecco for 48 EUR is way too expensive. The staff at the reception and concierge is super helpful and polite. The local style of the hotel makes it a cosy place where you can feel good.

We stayed there for 6 nights and loved it! The room was spacius, very clean and with a great seawiev. All the staff were great and did everything to make our stay nice. The breakfast was really good with a great selection. The hotel restaurant Thea was our favorite restaurant for dinner. The location of the hotel could not be better, right on one of the best beaches where there were a good selection of restaurants. The pool at the hotel is wonderfull and the wiev from the pool area is also amazing! It only takes seconds to go to the beach so you can use the sunbeds at the hotel and swim in the pool as well as the sea. We loved everything about this charming place and we will stay here next time we visit Mykonos.

This was my wife and my first trip to Mykonos. We were looking for a relaxing vacation with lots of beach, pool, and good food. We absolutely loved our stay at Petinos Beach Hotel. We were greeted by Voula with a big smile and champagne. She took the time to share her thoughts on excursions and restaurants in the area based on our feedback and was very authentic in her suggestions. She was super helpful! The hotel was clean with traditional Mykonos style, and the views of the beach were stunning. The Platis Gialos beach was literally footsteps away from the hotel entrance which made it super convenient to go back and forth from beach to the hotel pool. There is a mini market at the base of the hotel where you can grab beers, water, and snacks for great prices. The trip to Mykonos town was a short 10 minute bus ride away and conveniently enough, the bus stop was right outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to vacation in Mykonos.

No, just around the pool. However, you can rent sun beds on the beach from the restaurants they are fronting.

It’s steps from the beach. About 20 steps max to the water from the hotel property. However- because their property isn’t on the beach, the sun beds are all run by other hotel establishments. You pay per sunbed for the day. You can rent when you show up or make reservations depending on the establishment. If you want a particular sunbed, I recommend making reservations the day before. Our sun beds were 15euros a day I think. And we had front row to the water. You get bothered by peddlers- but we Loved the unobstructed view and would do it again!
