This is one of my favourite stops when I drive to and from Italy. The hotel is not new but the price takes that into consideration. the restaurant is fine cuisine - not cheap but a good treat after a long drive. There are plenty of other bars and restaurants withing 5 minutes walk. The best thing is that there...

Tried to find a midway point between the Alsace and Paris, off the main routes. Thought the reviews here sounded promising - especially the food aspect. The hotel looks as though it was once THE place to come but is now just very tired. Arrived and our booking could not be found. When we showed them our confirmation on our...

We stayed on our way South and were pleased to discover this small hotel in the middle of the town with secure parking, comfortable bedrooms and excellent food. The patrons were welcoming and were very responsive to our halting French. We like the French traditional way of life and this hotel retains these qualities. Definitely value for money. The position in...

We arrived and checked in to be told we shouldn't have booked via booking.com. We should have phoned. It immediately made us feel uncomfortable. The room was pleasant and spacious. We would have eaten in the restaurant but the prices were outrageous. Avoid this town. We were so disappointed. The room was good value for money but the experience of...

If you like chain hotels with modern amenities, this place is not for you. However, to have the unpretentious French provincial town experience with delicious food, that motorists have enjoyed since Michelin started making tyres, this is it. The much admired chef, Jacques Sautert, is now 72 years old and serves up superb traditional Champagne-Ardennes food at prices that would...

We stopped here on our way to Calais and enjoyed excellent food and a very comfortable room. There is on street parking outside the front door and at the back of the hotel as well as private locked garage parking for 5 euros. The room was very clean, quiet, a good size and the en-suite a good size also. The...

We have liked Logis Hotels for a long time and this was no exception. Our room was quite comfortable and not too much of a hilke from the front desk. It was very cold however as the weather has been somewhat chilly for the season but there was a comforter and the heater in the bathroom was enough to take...

We chose to stay here because of the recommendations for the restaurant. What nothing tells you not their website ,the hotel information in the room or the menus is that the restaurant is closed Sunday evening or at least it was last night. I had the feeling Madame just could not be bothered. She did not want to open the...

We happened on this gem by chance, having driven several kilometres out of our way to avoid a motorway closure. When I went to enquire about room availability, I thought it resembled more Fawlty Towers than Le Manoir, oh was I surprised! Madam, who is front of house, was very helpful as it was getting late I asked if we...

We have eaten here twice and decided to stay for a night this time - early October mid week. Vitry-le-Francois is a delightful small town and in champagne country too. Our French is not good but we still managed to have great fun with the lovely couple who own this little hotel and restaurant. We were so touched when they...
