We finished our cycle tour in Sete and had difficulty finding a hotel which offered safe cycle storage . Let Grande hotel did just that with the bikes safely locked up for no charge .
We enjoyed the grand old style of the hotel ,...More
Sète, a town of canals, models itself on Venice. And this hotel is modeled on the Venetian palaces of bygone centuries, several, like the Gritti, latterly re-purposed as hotels around a swooping (often covered) internal courtyard. Locate right on Sète's "Grand Canal", this property is...More
We stayed at this hotel one night as part of a cycling tour. The hotel was clean and well-appointed. The staff was friendly. The location was excellent as the hotel is located right on the canal and the view from our room was wonderful. Breakfast...More
I had a huge (especially for France) room - sleeping area, dining table and sofa; with an equally spacious bathroom. The only thing lacking were fancy amenities in the bathroom, otherwise this is a four-star hotel. Very friendly staff and an excellent (reservations required) restaurant....More
Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff in an excellent location by the old town and many waterside restaurants nearby. Would certainly stay there again. Secure parking was an added bonus as street parking in Sete is difficult.

Yes, there is car parking although limited a few doors along the river front from the hotel, it is cramped, but secure, from memory, it cost around 10€, but worth it. We didn't book a car park when we booked, and got the last one, so ask when you book. We also found a nice chinese restaurant across the river from the hotel, it had it lanterns on and we could see it from our hotel room window. I would also not get a river front room if you want a good nights sleep as it was noisy. But a lovely hotel with an amazing breakfast, I also think they have evening meals too, which we would try if we ever stayed there agin.

Hard to give the perfect answer as there are so many rooms, but in general the first floor canal side are the best with a great view although they can be noisy as the main road in the town is also on the same side. The rooms on the south side, first floor are very good, but again, street noise in the daytime. North side rooms give onto rooftops.
If you don't like your room, ask to change. I did and they did and I got the 108, perfect ! Enjoy your stay.
