Stayed here in late June and the setting is truly magnificent. Fabulous views from the main terrace of the mountains. Some great hiking trails available up to high meadows. Hotels rooms are clean and reasonable. Food is standard Parador quality which is ok but not the best you will find in Spain and the wine lists tend to be very...

We absolutely loved this Parador. It was a long drive from Barcelona and the final 13km down a country road, without any signs, was a little worrying. We even stopped to call them but there was no signal so continued and lo and behold there it was. The most wonderful setting, at the very end of the road so no...

The parador is located in a gorgeous valley and is perfect for people who want to get off the beaten path. We had the hiking trails mainly to ourselves and could loved to look out windows of our hotel room. The hotel is very comfortable; the rooms are clean and the food was quite good. Our only complaint was that...

If you like secluded hotels off the beaten path.... travel to this hotel on a dead end road. It is a stones throw to the French border if you can climb up the mountain. Breath taking vistas of the valley and mountains with lots of trails to explore. This comfortable hotel is everything you would expect in the city and...

Having read some of the other reviews we wondered if we had stayed at the same hotel! We could not fault it. We had two nights here and a wonderful day's walk in the hills. The surrounding area is just beautiful. The walking excellent, with walks for all levels. Views from the hotel room were fantastic. Waterfalls cascading over the...

The location of the hotel is very good. We were a party of six for a two night stay. The food on the first night was not good (avoid the lamb it was tough and fatty) but the trout was very good.Dinner on the second night was better as we learnt from the night before what to avoid. The only...

This is what we emailed in complaint "Whilst Parador De Bielsa is in an exceptional location and a lot of effort has been made to create and suggest local walks to appreciate the beautiful nature surrounding it, our stay has been a great disappointment. We booked 2 nights on full board and the first night's dinner was an overwhelming number...

On arrival in Bielsa, there was a small sign pointing to the direction of the Hotel Monte Perdido which is the Bielsa Parador. Following this largely unmade road for 10 miles in pouring rain with only one other small direction sign, the hotel was finally located. Rooms were good and comfortable, but the staff generally unfriendly. The restaurant dreary and...

We were a party of eight, travelling through the Pyrennes. We had booked the Bielsa Parador for two nights. To get to the Parador takes about 15 minutes off the main road. This was a bumpy road and needs the pot holes to be filled in. The location was stunning with Mountains on either side. This was spolit by the...

If you want to fall asleep to the sound of cowbells in the distance and the flowing crystal clear river below the window then this is for you. I would normally go for something more luxurious but was so glad I decided to compromise due to the location and because I have come to trust that Paradors will generally be...
