We booked the cottage, not realising the different types of accommodation, but this suited us, as it was away from the other cabins providing more privacy and a small garden and outdoor setting. The building is older, but refurbished so it was clean, comfortable beds, attractive linen, good towels. The shower is dated but with a good pressure. The toilet...

No sea views as advertised, paid extra for, .high stone wall right in front of rooms.. Climb up steps on high stone wall to see any view. Thankful we only stayed one night Very dated, hot water a problem. Enjoyed the punakaiki rocks, further along the coast, amazing.

We only stayed one night, but we were very satisfied with the unit. It was clean and all the facilities were as advertised. Friendly owner who gave us some useful information about the area. It was a stones throw from the beach, although one could not see the sea due to a sea wall. The unit had a bit of...

We arrived around 5-6pm and the elderly man who received us at the counter was less than friendly, almost hostile. The furnishings in the apartment were dated and minimally clean. A second room was super small and claustrophobic so we decided to use it to put our belongings instead. The kitchen was also small which is usual in most of...

A wonderful NZ tour but this was awful. The rooms were damp, full of condensation and it just felt yuk. The name 'beachfront' contours up sand and sea. Well, true I guess if you climb a rough stone bank. It isn't helped by being at the foot of a cliff either. To make it worse we had a tap hour...

There is not much choice for lodging in Punakaiki, and we are happy we stayed here. Our cabin (two bedrooms, bath, kitchen) faced the ocean, but you can't see it due to the sea wall. But it's just outside the door. The cabin was quite comfortable and met our needs. The glow worm cave is a 10 minute walk, and...

Travelling with our son.we drove in fairly late from Abel Tasman, looking for accommodation. We didn't think we'd find any but because of a cancellation there was a room for us in this very cute motel. The owners were very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and included a fully stocked kitchenette.

There are some motel units and one cottage - we stayed at the cottage for one night. The cottage is steps away from the beach. We had a kitchen, which was very well equipped, two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom with shower and a toilet. There is a lovely garden where you can park the car. The furniture is...

Firstly thanks to June and staff for the great cleanliness and comfort of the cottages - wonderful. Beautiful weather to make it a great place for a few days. However an experience we had on our last night really really shocked our large group (two cottages) We had a knock on our door by a newly arrived traveler who was...
