We have informed the hotel that we wanted non-smoking room in non-smoking floor. When we were on the way to the room, we noticed that some rooms were occupied by smokers and they are smoking with door opened. Our room is full of the smoking smell. I called to the front desk and requested for a change of room and... More

It was the worst hotel we ever stayed, whether on this trip or other trips we had been on. The room smelt musty (we were luckier than one tour member whose room had rotting smell), very old, the bed is hard, the bathrooms were awful condition - not clean - you could see thick water marks on the floors. Basins... More

The staff was helpful and they spoke some english. They have a big and impressive reception with some girls dressed with traditional clothes. The room was big and comfortable. Nice and modern furniture. The only bad thing was the bed, which was hard. Spacious bathroom with a shower, free toiletries and two bottles of water per day. There wasn't any... More

Room & bed are good. Breakfast is average with lots of tourists. Wifi only worked in the lobby. Location is a short 5 min cab ride away from the scenic and charming Fenghuang Ancient City by the river. The staff at the reception spoke no English.

Touted as the "only 4-Star Tourist Hotel" in the Fenghuang Ancient City, it is conveniently located on higher ground and overlooking the river and the Ancient City at a distance. You can either walk or take a taxi for RMB 10 one-way to the Ancient City. We choose to take a 20-mins walk instead so that we can catch the... More

Our tour group had to pay to enter this family owned town. It is also the home of the minority Miao people. This hotel was described by our guide as "the best hotel in town" - it was right beside the river and in a major shopping precinct. The room was comfortable with all the expected appointments - hairdryer, tea... More

For a Chinese 4 star hotel in an out of the way town, this was definitely better than I had come to expect from some of the reviews. We stayed in the back building (building 8) which is the newer section and the room we had (a suite) was on the 23rd floor. It was large with a separate lounge... More

The hotel has a simple lobby (which is fine) and based on the lobby, we had expected basic rooms as well. They were a bit above average: clean, well appointed with the items like shampoo, soap, glasses (slippers and combs seem common practice in China) and AC that worked very well. We found all the beds were hard in hotels... More

The reviews say this is the best hotel in town, maybe. But if that is true perhaps you should skip this stop. English language capability is poor. The room is OK, but the hot water is marked cold and vice versa. The facility is old and a bit off the beaten track. Breakfast is the worst I had on this... More
