This lake is absolutely beautiful but unfortunately this campground is not what it is used to be. The previous owners were fantastic and had a welcoming family feel. After the ownership change, there were some hiccups but overall they were doing well for a few years but things started to decline a bit a couple of seasons before covid hit. The first year of covid, I get things were overwhelming with rules/restrictions which kept the main washrooms closed, the restaurant, games room & all events were basically cancelled. The garbage disposal area was also closed down & seasonal campers were given a token to bring to the dump site just up the road. This was disappointing for campers that like to hit the road earlier in the mornings since the dump site didn’t open until 1pm on Sundays. I knew of other area campgrounds that still kept their large washrooms open as well as the canteen during this time. The 2nd season with covid had a rocky start (not the campground’s fault) but eventually restrictions mostly dropped yet all the amenities still remain closed & they also stopped selling gas which is odd considering they are located beside the only public boat launch on the lake. I know that gas isn’t a huge money maker but it brings customers to your business to buy other things like food/ice cream from the canteen (ice cream is a huge money maker). To my knowledge, the main washrooms are finally open this season but the garbage area is still closed as well as the canteen yet they have charged seasonal campers full price regardless. I’ve heard there is a food truck on the highway not too far away that campers go to for a bite if needed. The few seasonal campers I’ve known aren’t too happy with the services, or lack thereof, for the past few years (pre-covid as well) and a lot of people had left. They haven’t updated their events calendar on their website since 2019 & they didn’t even advise their seasonal campers when the grounds would even be open this 2022 season. Campers had to guess or happen to notice a facebook post the morning of “opening day”. Hopefully the owners can get this place back to what it used to be before it’s too late.

Like the title said it all we had a great time. The only issue I had one driving a big 7-8 passenger Boat through their narrow docks where a lot of boats were parked. Was worried I might hit them. But I slowly mastered driving in and driving out. Yippy for that. The wildlife there is amazing from water snakes, frogs, fish, birds, and more. My favorite was the Canadian loons.

A fisherman's paradise, beautiful little camping resort with 3 services. This is a familly run resort, extremely friendly and the seasonal campers are the same. Very well maintained site including bathrooms and showers. The site only has 8 daily rentals, so don't expect to get a place on the whim. I reserved since january for victoria weekend. Sites have good coverage if theres sun.. The lake is huge with different depths from shallow down to 150ft deep. There are a variety of fish, but the waters where still too cold and the fish where not ready to catch. We loved it so much, we decided to prebook for aug 2019 and next year victoria and aug 2020.

We always enjoyed this campground, particularly in the fall when the colours are in full bloom. However we haven't been since Niels and Katia had taken over ownership of the Resort. Now we wish we had spent more weekends at OMR after experiencing the exceptional hospitality of Niels and Katia. Indeed they did whatever possible to meet and exceed our expectations - even arranging to have a TV set up so we could watch our beloved Blue Jays. Although we came here in the fall, we still found activities to do - besides the fishing, OMR has a number of hiking trails with scenic mountain views and abandon log cabins (on road to Cormac). Ont. The weekend we were there....the locals had a self-guided Studio Art tour. We can't wait to go back.

To this day we come here every summer, we love it!!! the owners are phenomenal they make you feel part of their camping community :) This was 3 years ago! I Have to say it's one of the best places I've been camping in a long time. It was our first time there, the people at the site are friendly and we felt like we were part of the camp ground family! Can't wait for our next camping trip there :)

Been to many parks and this place is great. Park is clean, well maintained, new owners are doing a great job and have improved what needed to be improved. Campsites depending on your site range from not so private to amazing. Beach is nice and we'll maintained. Nice country restaurant with a great lake view deck to eat at. Two docks that will fit up to 18/19 foot boats. Two nice pontoons plus smaller craft for rent. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Doing a great job. I've been here as a seasonal camper 20 years and am very happy so I hope that alone speaks volumns for the quality of this park. Clear lake is one of the most beautiful in eastern/central ontario and this park is graced to be lakefront. That alone is worth a lot.

I've been going to Opeongo for many years visiting family who own a trailer there. We rented a pontoon boat this weekend and enjoyed the massive lake this Resort is built beside. There are nice little touches around the park - one being bird houses hung throughout that the children built. There was a frog jumping contest and every child had their photo taken which were then printed for them to take home. The recycling/garbage center is well organized and clean. A few times over the weekend, we had questions or needed something and the owners are quick to help or address any concerns. Small beach is well maintained and shallow which is great if you have small children; they can paddle and play while you sit in one of the many beach chairs. One thing that really stood out to us was the patience of the young man in the store. We went in multiple times with the kids who were buying candy and he did not rush them and gave them time to pick out what they wanted. It's little touches like this that make a campground great.

Wow! We had a great experience at this quaint yet CLEAN resort. The owners were gracious and very accommodating. They were cutting grass, planting flowers and had a GREAT garbage recycle process with pick up at cabins daily. The beach was raked and the natural flora maintained. The cabins were VERY well equipped and clean. We are from this area so have frequented many cabins all over the lake. This was very enjoyable and would recommend it for those that enjoy quiet, friendly visit to a beautiful lake and resort.
