Detailed Reviews
Friendly staff and the one bar of soap provided was a very nice bar of soap. However, the step to enter the room was unusually high and seemed to be missing a step. This was dangerous and difficult for someone with mobility issues. The outdated room was clean but not immaculate. There was no coffee machine, and the fridge and microwave were not plugged in. It was very expensive for inferior accommodation. If I pass through charming Eganville again, I will not be staying at the Pine Tree motel.

We booked tris hotel because it was colse to Algonquin Park, no other reason to sleep here. It was very late and there wasn't no choice for different place. The bathroom is small, but clean. Staff rude. Free parking. The room rate was 103CAD.

Small Motel next to the raod.
Need a absoluted refreshment outside. It is not invited.
But the price is ok for the place and the room are clean but they still have shagy carpet from the 60's ( orange color ).
But the bed are clean and comfortable. Batheroom need some maintenance.
It is well situated and there is restaurants and beer store walking distance.
I am not saying don't go there because I will go there again if I am in the area. But you have to know how it is exactly.

The children and I had an excellent time. Close to town center, but just far enough to feel peaceful. The back of the motel has BBQ’s and seating with a beautiful view of the lake. 2 minute walk on a path to the beach and park. Our room had space to eat and a fridge, although we ate outside most of the time because it was so beautiful. The owners were friendly and always there to answer our questions.

This place was NOT at all as advertised. The website boasted newly renovated rooms, and new beds.
The room was old, dirty and moldy! Both taps dripped non stop all night. The shower (if you risk getting into the dirty moldy tub) is a mist at best, and if anyone else in the Motel tries to use the water when you do, it shuts off! There was not enough pressure to wash your hair in there. The cold water tap on the sink did not work at all. One of the window panes in our room was broken.
The heat worked in the evening, but only made the room smell more moldy and musty!
They had an airfreshener in the room, that was empty and equally dirty looking.
There was a fridge in the room, it was also dirty.
I was actually so grossed out I wanted to sleep in my car, but it was winter, so we risked the bed.
This place is a rip-off no matter what price you pay!

This place should be condemned. While working on the road I have stayed in a couple places that you wonder what has happened in these rooms but this one tops the list. The floors are so soft (rotten) that you had to watch where you stepped while coming through the door. The door had a crack in the top that bugs could get through and buzz around while trying to sleep. I actually slept with my clothes on in my sleeping bag, as I wouldn't use their sheets. The neighbor had to complain about no hot water. The drain for the bathroom sink had a crack in it and leaked on the floor. At $99.99 a night we asked for our money back and told the owner this place is disgusting and shouldn't allow people in these rooms. We ended up getting a full refund. Never again.

This place is the worst I have stayed in. Better off sleeping in the car or the bus station. Stayed there for a wedding. Gross. Owners are rude as well. Over priced too. Do not stay here!!

+1
I had to stay in the Eganville area for one night on a business trip. Firstly, there isn't much selection in the area, and what options you have are overpriced. At $60 a night, this was by far the cheapest option for accommodation in the area… and this really is a case of 'you get what you pay for'.
The place is a dump. I had a hard time getting into my room, because the door was stuck. Once I got it open, I almost knocked over the TV, which was awkwardly balanced on a little makeshift table right inside the door. Closing the door was equally difficult. I had to lean into it with quite a bit of my weight to get it to latch shut.
The room had a small fridge which was not plugged in, and two microwave ovens. One was sitting in the middle of the floor, and the second was on top of the fridge. Neither were plugged in. I plugged in the one on the fridge, and it started beeping at me. I set the clock, and it stopped. Within a couple minutes, the microwave had reset and it was beeping again. I unplugged it… I did not use it.
The bathroom was disgusting. The light fixture was filled with dead bugs and the shower head had mould on it. There was a towel behind the toilet to absorb the leaking water connection on the toilet. There was a dead bug (I don't even know what it was) on the towel. Everything was mouldy, rusty, and dirty. The sink was in the 'bedroom' beside the fridge.
Decor… not important, but ugly as sin. Junky old lamps, and a mirror leaning against the wall.
There was a very small, very old, very loud, air conditioner (window-style) mounted in a hole cut out of the wall at ceiling height - not exactly convenient for adjusting the controls.
There was no alarm clock in the room, which is something that I take for granted until it's not there. That's a pretty basic amenity to have in a room. There was also no coffee maker in the room, even though the motel's website says that they have them in the rooms.
FREE INTERNET!!! Yes, if you can get it to work. Once I got the password from the office, I was able to connect my laptop, and got weak and sporadic service that would cut in & out. The signal was so weak my phone wouldn't even recognize their network, never mind connecting to it.
This place is terrible. At $60 a night my expectations were extremely low, and I was still disappointed.

We had booked a room a full month in advance and asked if their rooms were the same as their ad for new rooms of the same price. They had said yes, that they would put us in a new room.
We arrived on the second, and the rude, smelly woman at the front desk put us in room 10. I'm not sure if this was one of their 'new rooms', but if it is then it's quite frankly disgusting. Orange shag carpeting with a melted hole in it is the first thing we see. The beds have not been changed from the last guests aside from the top covers. The mirror in the bathroom is too high for a 5"5 woman to reach... the shower was unusable, it was filled with mildew and cracks. What's worse is that we had checked the mattresses for bugs, they seemed fairly clean so we slept on them... haven't had much experience with bedbugs, but sure enough, we got em. In our things too. There were enough that someone before us had obviously noticed them. There was no (working) internet even though they told us there was and that was part of the price. They rudely ushered us out at 11 am and we are yet to receive a refund.
For 80 or so (100 dollars after tax) the accommodation listed would be lovely if it was anything like the posting. If you want bugs and mildew, go ahead and stay for however long you like.
