We're so glad you were able to enjoy spectacular fall days in the valley and some R&R in your cottage. Looking forward to that return visit.....

My husband Bob and l spent 7 wonderful days at Suntree Guest cottages in Wolf cottage. The cottage was presented beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, modern and at the same time so warm and welcoming. The kitchen to the lounge room, the bedroom, bathroom, everything was there and more for what you needed, and the surroundings absolutely beautiful sitting on your private porch looking up to the mountains, it does not get any better than that. The cottages are conveniently located for exploring Bella Coola and surroundings. Cheryl is the perfect host, so friendly and welcoming, there to help you if you need it and also has very good local knowledge on what to do and see, also resident doggies Lupa and sometimes Elsa there to give a big welcome. We would go back and stay at Suntree Guest Cottages in a heartbeat!

Stayed in Bear Cottage. Excellent accomodation, good value, Cheryl was extremely responsive and helpful, and good proximity to town and to Tweedsmuir. Would definitely recommend. Dog enjoyed walking along the river just down the driveway as well (though note that river is too fast for swimming).

We stayed in Wolf Cottage for 6 days and can only echo the superlatives in previous reviews. This is truly an outstanding choice for a peaceful, relaxed stay in the Bella Coola Valley. Cheryl and Steve are great hosts and the Wolf Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Steve also runs the car rental agency at Bella Coola airport and was very helpful in providing recommendations for 4-wheel drive forest roads in the area. It was nice to be greeted by the resident dogs each day on return. The only slight negative, if internet is important to you, is that it is very slow. We will definitely return here our next trip to the Bella Coola valley.

My son and I spent a week in the Bear Cottage. A perfect home away from home while exploring the Bella Coola valley😊 We gave stated in Cottages all over Canada and this is our favourite to date😍 Immaculately clean and super comfortable. As foodies who love to cook we LOVED the well equipped kitchen.
We were in ‘the valley’ to do sone wildlife photography, our luck and the weather limited our success, but every local we talked to guaranteed us that you can help but see bears in September for during the salmon run. So we have booked another stay in September. Can’t wait to get back. Visitors be advised that ‘the valley’ is a very friendly place - you’ll soon learn that everyone waves at everyone they meet😊
We did find this tiny and oh so adorable fox kit😊

We took the Queen of Chilliwack ferry boat to Bella Coola and arrived at 11pm. It is very dark there and the ride is about 20 minutes plus to get there. Past Hagensborg to the right just before a bridge is a gravel road in good condition. Follow this road about a 1/2 mile and on your right you will see some rocks and a sign. small dirt road leads to cabins. We thought we saw a bear run in front of the car but it is so dark it was hard to tell. The cabin was really nice. 2 bedrooms, kitchen and living room . Food in the fridge and all sorts of games and other things in the living room. The place looks brand new and is extremely quiet but there are mosquitos outside so keep the doors shut. Our balcony overlooked the river about 200 yards away. The mountains have waterfalls everywhere. This was the best place we stayed in our trip from Bella Coola to Banff. It is not cheap but worth it. Canda seems to be expensive for nice places no matter where you stay. This is in a forest in the middle of no where so take that in consideration .

Such a nice property. The Eagle cottage was so great. Nice size for our family of 5, All the cooking items you need. Wake up to the beautiful mountainside every morning.
Like being at home. The power went out a few times and couldnt get it back until the end of the day but other than that it was AMAZING!! Loved the location. Very clean!!

Excellent accommodation....everything you could possibly need was available at Eagle Cottage. So quiet and peaceful and you won't believe the stars at night!
Great location to visit the bear viewing platform or do a river drift.
Have always dreamed of bringing our son to the river his grandfather and I fished when I was young. He is a keen fisherman and has never experienced such great fishing.....has spoiled him for any other location. Nothing will ever compare! Watched a grizzly in a prune plum tree while we ate supper...if you really want the "bear" experience visit later in September...we've have visited often and have never been disappointed.

We stayed in the Fox Den Suite. Normally for us we stay in hotels, but this apartment is very well appointed with partitioned sleeping and living areas. The apartment is modern in style, and the shower room is spacious. The kitchen facilities are excellent, and the bed is both comfortable and supportive for my back. Parking is very convenient and very close to the apartment entrance.

Suntree cottages are blessed with having two wonderful canine ambassadors and we regularly had companionship from both of them. Jasmine in particular is happy to just sit and chill out with you.

Cheryl was a wonderful host, and helped out with laundry since the Fox Den didn't have laundry facilities. Also if you're into electricity you'll want to get a tour of their micro hydro electric facility.

Location is very peaceful, and it's about a 20 minute drive to Hagensborg and 25-30mins drive to the Belarko bear viewing platform.
