What a beautiful location! We stayed in Chalet #2 and it was perfect. We were right beside the River and had a tree growing out of our deck so we had shade almost all day! Nice when it’s hot. They have done some Upgrades and it shows. Each cabin had a heat pump, meaning air conditioning without that loud rattling hotel sound. You know what I’m talking about. The people were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little bouncy but comfy. I only gave four stars as the food was a little disappointing. Overcooked meatballs and greasy, limp French fries. And there are no other places to eat nearby. If we go again, we will probably bring a small camp stove and our own food to cook.

We were put in a room with 2 double beds that made you sink together in the middle so e were unable to sleep well. And the beds are so old you cant move in them AT ALL without extreme squeaking...which made the romantic getaway awkward....😬. But maybe no one heard us over the several dogs barking for half an hour non stop next door to us. Rooms are so musty smelling I got an instant headache, nausea and that made me irritable. Advertised as luxury accommodations but there is nothing luxury about it. Windows are all dirty, murky and full of condensation, Everything is old and outdated. Food at the restaurant was also disappointing. The turkey dinner wasn't even from a carved roasted turkey...pressed meat, very dried up, a teaspoon of gravey, overcooked veggies and a 1inch cube of stuffing...pathetic! Ok the tennis court should be condemned...the fault line cracks are eventually going to cause sprained and or broken ankles if it's not fixed...seriously! On a positive note, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna and the staff were mostly all very friendly. Maybe it will get better since the govt finally sold it...but for now I do not recommend.

Spent my first visit to Liscombe with three friends for a Girls Weekend. We stayed in Riverside Lodge where we could see activities on the river. Room was a bit dated but clean,as were all the facilities. The food was delicious. We wondered if we might have a restricted menu for our group weekend but they provided several choices for each of the four meals that were included in the package. Staff was very friendly and helpful- from the front desk, to the dining room to maintenance staff. The weekend included several planned activities including meditation, yoga, pumpkin carving martini night, merchandise bingo and my favourite, a scavenger hunt! In addition to all this, we had the options of hiking their trails or using a kayak or canoe, swimming, and taking a cruise on the river (for a fee). This is a wonderful place for a relaxing vacation for everyone and I will be back!

Excellent! Thank you Liscombe Lodge for for a wonderful stay! My sister & niece joined me from Halifax, and we all left feeling rejuvenated. Scenery and trails were spectacular, meals & staff were tremendous, Tony went way beyond the call of duty to look after us and Chester kept us entertained with his stories on the boat. Staff are all naturals at working with the people and their needs. We have decided to make this an annual occurrence. An experience everyone should take the time to enjoy!
